  • you really have no respect for musicians do you, fucking thief

  • I love this method. It's not pirating (Recording the radio is LEGAL, soo...) and on Windows you hear the song, so you enjoy the song while ripping it to your desktop. BTW linux users can't do this. Only win and mac can record to wave mix. (Linux/Windows User)

  • Lol I just use file2HD it takes like 3 seconds

  • I just made a bandcamp downloader site that works like offliberty, but names the files properly and works better for album pages. Only problem is that the files aren't tagged. Sorry and enjoy.

  • @chicknapman Holy shit buddy thanks for that site. Props

  • Stop smacking your lips. It's very annoying for some people's ears.

  • If you smack your lips one more time, I swear i'll....

  • @korkiwi my advice is to find something less triviall to be annoyed with, like turn on tv you gona find plenty of stuff

  • @henrix999 See the thing is I don't have TV.

  • Exporting as MP3 will have a slight quality reduction, as re-encoding a video or audio file ALWAYS causes reduction in quality unless the output format is lossless, which MP3 is not. For the absolute highest quality you can get (which is still not technically lossless), export as a WAV file.

  • Are you Walt Jr. from Breaking Bad?

  • @MarkMarotta1992 LMFAO

  • @MarkMarotta1992 lol'd

  • Also since you converted the 128 stream to 320, it's a transcode and makes it sound even worse.

  • Too bad the bandcamp audio stream is only 128 and that's terrible quality.

  • You should support those artist and pay! Geez the days of ripping and stealing music are over. Do you know how hard it is for artist to get money for their work these days?

  • @SwapMeet23 fuck you, and your worthless comment

  • "um"

  • someting you're not explaining well, what to do with soundflower or something else because audacity won't recognize ANY sound coming from my computer, instead of justifying why you're doing this at the approval of some people who are going to bitch this is wrong, you should explain better step by step what to do with soundflower other than just instaling it (like the part where u show ur audio preferences I cant see shit what ur doing) if you're going to do it go 100% thanks.

  • offliberty. com rips @ 128k quality. the method described in this vid is still best if you have decent/good sound card

  • Thanks again for posting this, I have used this SO many times, couldn't even tell you! Really good skill to know

  • Bandcamp stream the audio at a low mp3 rate. You are not ripping it at high quality. Then you're converting from audacity? Do you honestly think the artist set up a bandcamp page with high quality sound so assholes like you could steal the music at a low rate? Lowest of the low.

  • what if artists want people to hear beats for songs they'll be using on future releases but dont wanna risk it getting stolen cause of bullshit like this?

  • thats a sweet backround

  • Works beautifully, thanks!

  • Oh, thank God you're using a Mac! No messing around with my Win 7, which is nicely quarantined away in it's virtual machine where it belongs!

  • Forget about this mate. Use offliberty. com, way easier to rip songs from bandcamp!

  • @dedefranchini Thanks so much

  • @dedefranchini +1000 Interwebs. You Deserve It!

  • @dedefranchini offliberty won't go into the player, if the songs which are in flash don't have a URL address individuallly it won't work

  • @TarantulaCandy right click, copy link of song, add it. done

  • @dedefranchini THANKS! i right clicked and clicked copy link and put it into it and got it.

  • @dedefranchini agreed

  • @dedefranchini Oh my god thank YOU

  • you don't need soundflower

  • @terribleannoyance Thats when Google is used.

  • @terribleannoyance ummm audacity is for windows

  • what a retard! "you can, ummm, kinda like, uhm, or something".... jesus!

  • I'm a music artist. I swear to god I hate people like you.

  • @Goldbloodeddragon

You hate people who want to listen to your music? Geez, dude, your fans must be fucking masochists.

  • @CwiczPompki People who rip music without paying for it.

  • @Goldbloodeddragon

What if I like a song but I can't afford to download it? Even though I want it and I'd send it to my friends? Would that be bad because I downloaded it illegally? You gained a fan, isn't that worth more than one dollar?

  • @CwiczPompki I didn't know you couldn't pay a dollar.

  • @Goldbloodeddragon

Is that sarcasm? Anyway, having a fan is still better than one fucking dollar.

  • Does this method actually rip the files or does it just record them and turn them into usable formats

  • audio hijack is easier

  • There is an easy way to get the files of youtube videos...

  • just buy the song you fools.

thats the point of bandcamp, supporting upcoming artists.

they charge a fair amount and let you listen to all of it before you buy it so why wouldnt you?

  • @ajhillybillyaj I do, but Amanda Palmer has a demo song she's never released in such a way that you can buy or download it, and I find it so beautiful I want to have it on my computer.

But, yeah, tons of other people should not know about this or they'll only use it to steal.

  • @ajhillybillyaj you pity the fool? :))

  • @ajhillybillyaj if only i had a credit card :\

  • this is wonderful, thank you

  • that takes way to long

  • Using "Stereo MIX" is a LAST RESORT mean to extract audio ! Particularly if your sound card as a analog mixer.

  • ahhhh all that to save a dollar and rip off the artist , loooseeer !!

  • perfect guide. thanks man.

  • thanks!

  • my previous comment does not work on myspace though, it works on facebook, reverb nation, bandcamp. etc.

  • thanks for this, but i'd highly recommend just using the multimediafilerecorder add-on for firefox and quickly extracting each file as you play it--all it takes is for the file to load. once the file is downloaded it will be an flv file, but all you have to do is replace "flv" w/"mp3" and you have it.

  • @sicknature

Name of add-on is now MultiMedia"Web"Recorder.
