@rushdi34 They speak Huron but after Hawkeye shows up he has The Major translate English to French as the Huron speak French as well since they are allies with the French. The Sachem switches back to Huron when speaking his verdict. This is why Heywood and Hawkeye cannot tell what the verdict is until the warriors move to take away Cora.

Very ingenious of Hawkeye to use Heywood to translate. I also think at this point the Major respected Hawkeye for coming back to rescue them.
