Mike Reagan left the show soon after this episode, publicly announced as for a book tour, but more likely over the scandal of the producers and ABR overestimating the prize budget and unable to pay cash prizes won. Lingo's creator, Ralph Andrews ("You Don't Say!," "It's Your Bet," "It Takes Two," "The Liar's Club") took over for the remainder of the run. Dusty Martell also left the series when Mike Reagan departed.

I bet Detroit didn't pull it off the air after episode 65. I read the TV guide and WXYZ channel 7 still had it beyond episode 65 and it still did as of July 1988.

but when i took a good long look at that hopper after mike had said there was one red ball left there was more than just one. trust me here luke take a good long look and you'll see more than just one red ball left after they pull red ball #2
