@hohji kokujin wouldve parried his srk anyway. look how he delays the second overhead. this way the -> input for the dartshot wouldve also parried the first srk hit.theres asmiliar technique against empty jumpins where you either get an srk or parry a late jumpin attack.

ryus srk is very slow on wakeup and most of dudleys moves can stuff the shoryu. and even if he did get it out, dudley couldve accidentally parried first hit so ruu wouldve been wide open.

id rather go for ex shoryu in that case.

That 1st round was gorgeous. I didn't think anyone could play Ryu so well like Ruu. I'm suprised that he hasn't faced Daigo yet. It'd be a classic for sure. Anyways, I think Ruu could of beat Kokujin if he stayed calm.

I agree with DKblade, he could win with a ex hado at short range but not at 100% since kokujin can parry or jump it.

Seriously, Ruu always do plenty of mistakes but he still kick ass.
