@symptom1555 I don't agree. I hear Mercutio expressing his last words and gathering of the facts. He's saying I'm about to die out here in the blue sky and the sunshine, and it wasn't even my fight to have fought. He's saying this thing that has made worms meat of me was "THE PLAGUE ON BOTH YOUR HOUSES."

sometimes you go for a ride and you see the accident happening before it happens, but can't do anything about it but watch as it unfolds.

@AudioInklined Good point. I never thought of it in that context...I thought he had said "they've made worms meat of me"..indicating Romeo and Tybalt, then casting the curse. I always like to see things from a new perspective, thank you :)

@AudioInklined Not sure about that mate, he clearly says "A plague on both your houses". You are right when you say that he feels it wasn't his fight, but now that he knows he is going to die for something he didn't start, he curses both families.
