Truth be told they are both very great Xboxs, either one would be perfect, but if you have a budget i would go with getting a standard version then upgrading it however you see fit, thats what i did, im a hardcore gamer with a budget as well, i got the standard then i bought a used 60mb hard drive and wireless adapter, i bought it when 360 was relatively new so i had only two repairs but that was a long time ago, now their systems are put together alot better eliminating most of the problems
