octopus is very intelligent at 00:24 after the crab hided. the octopus comes to the spot you put the crab in like" come on, give me an easy one, throw it here throw it here".
what type of octopus is that?? ive wanted for ages but i dont think a blue ringed one is a sensible idea certainly for someone of my mental immiturity
yes, yes, and no. They are extremely aggressive predators, and they'll eat just about everything, and if you scare them enough they'll put a big dose of ink in your tank, so it's quick water change or rapid tank death, unless you have one hell of a protein skimmer. Also, the whole vicious predator thing means they eat a lot, and they like their fresh seafood. And they're strong and smart escape artists. Leave it to the people who are paid to maintain tanks and go see them there =)
Yes, octopus are very smart. They can change color, texture, shape, and density. When you grab them, they turn to goo and drip through your fingers. When they grab you, they turn to stone. They will open their tank lid, go for a walk, eat the fish in other tanks, and go back to their own tank when done. They do not care about what you do or do not want to get wet, they'll climb on it all the same. And they are way stronger than you would think.
my friend has one hers escaped its own aquarium and went to another one which housed fish and ate her fish only to ruturn to its own aquarium after making a huge mess ...they are very intelligent
nice octopus buck, is he reef safe? how do you keep him in your tank? is he a good pet? i've got a reef tank but want a O. vulgaris. would recommend one? thanks 4 posting..... LOVE 303
Thats great, Are they har dto look after? I've had loads of freshwater fish but never ventured into saltwater tanks. Due to the expense and difficulty but an Octopus would be awesome.
they are not too hard to take care of, just a lot of cleaning. cause they crap a lot and he eats every hermit crab or snail that i try to put in the tank.
LOL that carp was like nooo dont put me in there! (here comes octupus) DAMIT YOU SON A BITCH AHHHHH!!!

a pet octopus, damn that is cool! How many times has it escaped, as intelligent as they are to keep it in a tank with a plastic lid makes no sense!
Maverick1375 2 years ago
@Maverick1375 i use a laser force field with droid gunners and sharks with lasers beans to keep my octopus on lock-down. :)
giantdavid89 2 years ago
That'll work, but really do you guys have some kind of lock on the lid to keep it fully enclosed to prevent escape!
Maverick1375 2 years ago
how many gallons
