This happen to me so I had to call a pro. He showed me what's happening. There is a "sensor" checking to make sure air & gas flow properly. It's a small tube towards the top of the inside of the unit (my tube was red and 3-4 inches long.) Dirt and even dust is big enough to clog that sensor. To repair, take a thin wire, remove that tube, and poke the wire down the hole (not the tube, but what the tube leads to.) That should clear it ... try starting up the furnace now.
Damnit mine is doing this, so frustrating. I took off the ignitor and it broke. Going to buy a new one tomorrow. I wasn't getting any glowing or spark before I tried to take it off.
could be either the combination gas valve or the flame sensor..

Ain't that the truth? We did end up getting it fixed. It ended up being the igniter. Was a cheap fix.
