  • for me its one of their best songs.

  • It's nice to listen this song in winter

    ...

    ich mag Kraftwerk! <3

  • The thing that always struck me, was how exellent the minimalist pieces of kraftwerk fitted in the times. The burgeoning electronics industry, heavy industries wrecking the environment, an affluent middle-class yet, a whole generation of teens and twens being wrecked by heroin (see "children of Bahnhof Zoo") the cold ,empty industrial estates. Driving thru The Ruhr in the 70's made one realize where their music came from.

  • I must stop listening to the english version of Kraftwerk's records.. In german their music is much better!

  • @QueenCrimson1969

    yes, and less accent :)

  • @6lues6rother

  • The German language turns me on. I don't even know what this dude looks like, but he sounds sexy.

  • Listening to this in German is like listening to this again for the first time! Peace.

  • Melancholy, grandiose, hypnotic. What a seminal track.

And a free German lesson! In college German 1 I would use Kraftwerk's simple, clear lyrics on the original versions to improve my pronunication...

  • @classof77

Ok, Ralf speaks a pretty good, cultivated German, but...

their lyrics are never simple or clear.

I´m listening very attentively to their music for more than 30 years and was never able to make head of them. Their lyrics are so ambigous, almost impossible for a definite interpretation. One never knows, whether they are joking or are dead serious. At least in German. But, I don´t know, maybe their English lyrics are less confusing ;))

  • @TrottaVonSipolje Great comment!!! I really agree that they really sound ambigous and something "confusing" in German. Definitely in English they don't sound this way, but they also loose lots of "poetry", let's say it this way... But I love their pronuciation and it helps me a lot in learning german (by the way, they gave THE reason to learn this so beautiful tongue,,,). And have a Happy New Year!!!

  • so tragic...

  • damn! I tought I was never gonna find the German version!

  • In 1983 in Brazil, this music was a theme by a shoes comercial... this stayed in my mind for many years... since was a child...

It´s a beggin the eletronic music with psicodelic influencies... so good!

  • that's a good shoe commercial

  • Few too many pictures of "new Kraftwerk" - this song is "old Kraftwerk"!

Still, great to find the Deutch version online somewhere.

  • Esta debe ser una de las canciones más introspectivas de esta histórica agrupación

  • Also known as "The Hall of Mirrors" in the international version of TEE.
