@rgayda if your score is too high it results in "no score" which meens your turn is over and your points go back to how they were at the start of your turn.
@TheGurmukh007 How? Bounce outs are more common, you're dependent on a series of holes in the plastic board, and most of all, you have the personal humiliation of using soft tip darts.
majority of games start single score (most common format (world championships))
some games can be double in (as seen in masters) - where the game starts with a double.
to end the game (checkout): games must finish on a double eg if a player has 32 points left then they must hit double 16 if they hit 16 then there on double 8
also note that the bullseye (double bull) is also a double and you can checkout on this aswell.
i'm new at darts...just want to know...what if i made 500 already on my second throw in a game of 501, how can i score a double in my last throw if i only needed 1 point? do i need to repeat a throw or repeat scoring again from the start? informative replies are very much appreciated, thanks guyz!
@PrinceArt77 You need to repeat from the start of your last throw. So if you started your last throw with 11 to score, and you end up with 1, it's announced as "no score", and you start again from 11 on your next turn. HTH.
@Ro0bArB I've never played it like that, if i have 11 left and throw a 10, then I need a 1 on the next throw. Wow, i've been playing wrong all this time?
@adramatictheme Yeah, sorry mate! Have a look on here for some darts matches. Can recommend Martin "Wolfie" Adams as someone to learn from. Just avoid anything from the PDC - it's stadium darts and bit too "glitzy".
Perfect video for all Serbian handball supporters.....

Yep, you did it wrong. Well, there are 3 basic regualtions for ends:
-clean end (you hit anything that will reduce your score to zero),
-double out (you must hit double area, that will reduce your score to zero,if you have 1 point left, you bust),
-masters out (you must hit double or triple area to reduce your score to zero. If you have 1 point left, you bust).
Usually on competitions, we play 501 double out.

I have the same question: What happens if after 3 throws I remain with 1 point?
DannyTheRanger 2 years ago
then your bust mate
you carnt finish without hittin a double,
lets say you had 3 points left, you have to hit 1 then double 1 to win the game
rosesgaz13 2 years ago
@rosesgaz13 Why not just a single 3?
