@cppb you can go the legal (but still against apple eula) route... Buy a legal OEM copy of snow leopard an burn 'nawcom's bootcd (or modcd)' to a cd, fire up your pc with the bootcd in. Once loaded swap the bootcd for the OSX dvd and boot and install from it.
@MatthiasDuyck thanks i think i'll try that sometime.. i guess nawcom is only compatible with a set number of machines/ hardware? as far as i know the dell mini 9 is very specific about drivers..
microsoft also announced windows vista runs better on mac's
seriously my mac boots up alot quicker. maybe you have more stuff on your HD or you use the mac mini more.. because i know that does slow it down.. the first start ups even with 1 gb of ram on new macbooks are supper fast..
cppb this is bullshit, i dont know what you have in the mac mini probally 1,6mhz..
but if you want i can show you me turning my macbook black OFF, then back on. have utorrent , skype, imail, veoh video all load aswell before a PC can load..
@quickmantan admittedly the mac mini does not have a fresh install like the dell does. but there's actually not all that much stuff on it. startup items=4
however i have noted that the snow leopard upgrade probably added somewhere between 5-10s~ to bootup time.
well this is just in relation to my 1st video where i had all my mini9s *upgraded* from 1gb to 2gb. 1gb is actually the standard spec I believe. but I always upgrade them to 2 gb as this is a good amount for OSX...well and any other OS really..
What a stupid comparison. But as long as it keeps you believing...

@woca1995 i think you've got an AMD in there...you may well run into a lot of trouble. all I know is with AMDs you need iDeneb.
thats all im going to say here...this probably isnt the best place to be asking about hackintosh

@cppb I tested it on an amd sempron 145, it runs, but it is NOT nice... Either the modo or the kernel aren't performing as they should...

@quickmantan If it had 1.6MHZ then it would never boot into snowleapord.
Megapead 5 months ago
@quickmantan 1,6 GHz right? If it would be a 1,6 mhz you couldn't even be able to install OSX in the first place... ;)

dell mini 9 have ssd -_-
Sekcja0serowa 1 year ago
Cool, but is it the same performance if so, this comparison is fair...
pinkpaterne 2 years ago
guess it probably isnt fair in that sense...
the mini9's Atom processor cannot compare to the MacMini's
but then the mini9 has a SSD which the MacMini doesnt have...
cppb 2 years ago
@cppb when it comes to booting, an SSD is ALWAYS gonna win out over a standard HDD. Therefore, this is ALSO an unfair comparison.

why u downgraded it from 2 GB to 1?
or u did it coz of the comparison?
