As a 20 year Air Capt for the airforce and now Private Pilot, I have to tell everyone this guy is feeding you a load of crap! Contrails WILL linger all day if the weather conditions are right.
With a B.S. in Earth Sciences, I can tell you that those trails are waaaaaay too low to contain ice crystals which is what a tradition contrail is comprised of and when a plane is flying that low, you're not going to get any kind of visible discharge from the engines as it is too low and too warm that low in the atmosphere to produce and form of ice. So obiously that plane is discharging something other than water vapor.

Dear all, please realize that this is not regular commercial air traffic. Researchers say a fleet of 700 tankers take to the skies everyday and dump aluminum and barium over our heads. Over the horizon radar, HAARP, nudging the jet stream, allwithout public consent, we don't have to allow them to experiment with the planet.
I believe you should be addressing the question to the poster Budgetmoon. However, I have found what I believe to be some of the operating bases but am doing further research. I do not wish to say anything more at the moment. However, as an experienced pilot, do you really believe that all of the persistent contrails are normal? Personally, when I observe a jet leaving a contrail during a very warm and dry summer's day and the contrail just lingers, this is unusual.
These are the same Contrails (Condensation) that have been happening since the 1st jet engine took to the skys. This happens most when the aircraft is at a steep AGOA (Angle of attack) in laymans terms when the plane is decending or ascending. The weather has a lot to do with it too. This mostly accurs when the warm vapor hits the dry cold air and forms the ice crysals, also know as...you guessed it: Contrails.
Another debunker! These "contrails" appeared on a warm summer day and at altitudes that are far lower than where normal contrails occur. The contrails lasted for hours. Nice try but I am not buying the crap you are trying to sell.

Isn't it funny when you finally notice this kind of thing? You're like "where the hell have I been"! I finally started noticing them in 2002 after stumbling over the subject on the internet, and even then it had been going on for years. Now wait until you start noticing all the "cell phone" towers/panels. Won't be too hard. They always put them on or near schools and hospitals. Where you are, you can find them on top of the local DMV and some of the apartment buildings in the area.
I couldn't agree with you more. See my video taken on 10/10/06. The particulate matter in the video shows up as vertical fibers traveling in pairs when I went to capture frames. Morgellon's is a mysterious fiber disease.
