@Swingsation65 Sure, the music is shit these days, but at least we have such high literacy rates, vaccines, high technology and a myriad of social advances. That being said, why must our music be so dreadful compared to this?
My grandma was a big band singer, she sang at the coconut grove in Hollywood in the 1940s. She use to love this song so much, and I remember how she would be cooking breakfast in the morning and singing this song. aha. thanks for posting! Im 16 and I wish so much this style of music would come back.
This is good music. But that doesn't mean this is the only good era of music.
Yes music has changed significantly, and some has been for the worse(rap) but there is still alot of good music being produced it just isn't getting the facetime that other groups of music genres
16 years old and this to me the best kind of music. It is great to listen to and the wind instruments were always great in all the songs. Its almost impossible for anyone to get recognition for playing and instrument such as a saxophone or trumpet. Its all mixed crap and electric instruments. Very rare to find a song that you can relax when listening to.
the olds days.. im onlyy 33.. but you can still appreciate good music.. stuff these days.. its different.. but cant compare this the classics.. rap will never be a 'classic'
the female singer is Gloria Wood.. and her voice is just amazing in this song... great great song.. sad people dont make this kind of music anymore... those where the days.. sad I'm to young to have been there
@Saberwolf116 i know what u mean man like back then songs were accualy somthing u can relax and listen to but now its sumthing to fist pump to or sumthing

@papamcbride
I, with a high degree of confidence, would say that it is Harry. Doesn't sound like Sully, and it sure isn't Ish.

@Lyriapersiana Haven't found any. But I'm sure they're out there. What I need is a record player so I can listen to the vinyl.

@Lyriapersiana I actually have a CD called "Kay Kyser: Sentimental Favorites" that's pretty good.

Harry Babbitt had such a smooth, pure voice. He was definitely underrated.
