yes but to where most people have the advantage of being able to read sheet music.. I have not.. The fact that I have been playing 12 years doesn't insinuate I've been learning from videos but quite on the contrary I played my own music until I developed the ear for each key.. Then slowly progressing from small compositions .. all I'm saying is it's a progression, a repetition, and practice makes perfect..

I learned this song in its entirety after I had been playing 6 months from this video (with lots of practice)Most coldplay songs are very melodic and relatively easy to learn even for a beginner on piano. it also doesn't hurt that i've been playing guitar 'bout 23 years

I disagree actually, he plays the song slow enough that all you have to do is review it a few times. The beginners that don't think they can learn from this are the ones that give up halfway through the first verse. All it takes is some persistence.

The easiest method for me is too break the song into segments. Learn the first 30 seconds of the song. Learn the right hand first, next learn the left hand, then PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE till you can mix them together. This will take time to get if you do not already play the piano like me, I it as a little hobby and I only play songs I like (especially Zelda songs =] )
