What a grand conception! A beautiful homage to the Great Callas! I enjoyed every note. It's refreshing to find a young singer enthralled with a great singer from the past. Many Brava's to both Diva's!

And why Carmen? You are a soprano, this is a mezzo part, you already ruined an otherwise great Carmen studio recording, do you have to continue with this role and lyp-sing this tune "with" Callas? (who also was a very mediocre Callas and never sung the role in an opera house...) Bad taste

@MAPIAKALLAS You're welcome :) I'm from Greece and I love her but Carmen was her worse role and she only sung it in studio in the mid 60s when the voice was gone. If you like her Carmen that's nice, I prefer Berganza & De Las Angeles....

She is a tremendous human being raising her sister child with love and passion as well as her husband's daughter even though they're separated. Which means she has a big loving heart. Plus, I have a collection of records of all kinds of classical music made from early 1900s to 2011. Io adoro la Gheorghiu e la preferisco alla Callas ed è proprio per questo che trovo inutile nonchè poco fine fare un progetto così.Però bisogna anche dire che non sempre sono i cantanti a decidere cosa incidere, e specialmente nel caso della Gheorghiu che è sotto contratto con la EMI da anni.La EMI ancora usa l'immagine della Callas per guadagnare, questo è solo un ulteriore modo per farlo.Angela è magnifica ma penso che si sia ingannata da sola accettando di incidere un disco "Per Maria Callas"

I don't think I have sufficient or accurate words to describe how stupid and offensive this video is. Misguided comes to mind too. And I am not even a big Callas fan. But forced to choose between the two, I'd opt for the original. For years some of us have readily detected Gheorghiu's Callas-wannabe, copycat antics, in sound and phrasing and maybe even looks. I for one enjoy my artists but only in the original. Accept no substitutes. Accept no parodies.
