I went to the Steubenville Youth Conference, it was my first, and I absolutely loved it! It changed me life forever. Before Steubenville I had been debating whether or not I may want to be a Youth Minister and when I got back and told our church's pastor about my experience he said, "Jenna, God is calling you for something."
I went to the one in San Diego. TOTALLY LOVED IT!!!!! There is a %100 chance that i'm going back next year. We represented St. Joeseph Husband of Mary Roman Catholic church in Las Vegas NV!!!!!!!!

I went to the 2010 Confrenece in Atlanta, Gerogia. It was my first time there, and I can say, it was one of the best times of my life. I met so many new people, and I ended up having great roomates, too =) . I cried during Adoration, and on the last day when the bishop of Atlanta called anyone up to ask if they felt the had a Vocation, both of my roomates stood up and went. It was just plain amazing there, and I reccomend it to anyone.
That was great. I went my first time this year and i had a terrific time. You can actually feel the love and how much everyone cared and had fun. Probably some of the best few days of my life

does anyone else not find this ridiculously creepy? This seems more like a cult than anything else. My friend is here right now and asked me to look this up. I've got to say this is the worst representation of religion by far. Two of my good friends happen to be at this as we speak, they couldn't be more confused and creeped out at this fundamentalist take on Catholicism. This seems more like a "born again Christian" cult concert.

If you are Christian, you may think that us Catholics are not Christian, but, as Catholicism is the first Christian church founded, all of your views are just a division of ours (Catholics). In a way, it may be a cult, but believe me, not all cults are evil. The dictionary defines the word CULT as "a system of religious worship or ritual". This religious worship service is made to teach teens about Jesus Christ.

i'm soooo upset that i can't go this year! i'm almost at tears right now that i can't go haha. steubenville has been great for the past three years and i've loved every minute of it. i still can't believe i'm not going this year, but i'm definitely going to go next year again. it will be my final year for me. i hope everybody that's going has a blast and gets a lot out of it. have fun you guys!
@jordanfan1023 - it doesn't have to be your last year. You just have to ask your youth leader if you can go again for a couple more years. I'm 19 and just graduated from High School and I'm planning on going next year :-D will you be going to Denver next year?

As a member of our Y.M. Core team, I can attest to the changes in the lives of the teens I have seen since their past trips to Steubenville. My niece went last year, and she has said she will never, ever, doubt that God exists anymore. She has done nothing but evangelize to other teens since then. I am excited for our teens this year because we have many first timers and they have no idea what is about to happen to their lives!
God is so faithful, He wanted to make the US meet the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and make of it a so holy Ecclesial Movement in a university, University of Duquesne and after that, His people there have never forgot to preach in the universities and in the schools!

i'm soooo upset that i can't go this year! i'm almost at tears right now that i can't go haha. steubenville has been great for the past three years and i've loved every minute of it. i still can't believe i'm not going this year, but i'm definitely going to go next year again. it will be my final year for me. i hope everybody that's going has a blast and gets a lot out of it. have fun you guys!

@jordanfan1023 - it doesn't have to be your last year. You just have to ask your youth leader if you can go again for a couple more years. I'm 19 and just graduated from High School and I'm planning on going next year :-D will you be going to Denver next year?

@CodyTitans Cody-- Don't think of it as a "spiritual high," but realize what it was: an experience of loving and being with Jesus Christ, his Mother, and all the saints. A spiritual high is a gift of God freely given to bolster your faith, and it is wonderful, but it is not the normal way we live in relationship to God. Think about what we learned about Mother Theresa from her letters: for decades she never experienced a spiritual high, but she remained faithful because she never forgot...

@CodyTitans ...So don't seek to sustain a spiritual high (because it cannot last in this life), but in all things seek the way to live life for the glory of God. St. Therese called it her "liitle way." St. Josemaria Escriva founded The Way (Opus Dei) to help people do this. Revel in the highs, Rejoice in the lows, because when God allows you to have a low, it's because He trusts you have the faith and strength to hang onto His hand and live in His grace through the rough times. As a member of our Y.M. Core team, I can attest to the changes in the lives of the teens I have seen since their past trips to Steubenville. My niece went last year, and she has said she will never, ever, doubt that God exists anymore. She has done nothing but evangelize to other teens since then. I am excited for our teens this year because we have many first timers and they have no idea what is about to happen to their lives!
