OKay, pleeeeeease take this as constructive criticism! :) :)
Some of your vowels are not round enough. Also, I do realise it is a vocal piece but you tend to drown out the piano a bit too much. Piano and voice are supposed to bond and work together..... Hope this helps you! Your voice is quite good. You should try Der Nussbaum, the German might be easier on your vowel sounds :) :) xxx
I always appreciate these kinds of comments, thank you! Listening to this recording again, as it was recorded a year and a half ago I completely agree. Ironically I'm actually having a bit of trouble with my German vowels :p
You're going to Ithaca? I want to transfer there as a psych major with a minor in music and this recording has really helped me get a better sense of this song.
Thanks, and I'll definitely keep that in mind for the future, it's always hard to tell how far to take the unstressed R's and whatnot. Thankfully I'm at college for singing now where they teach us these things!
This is a beautiful rendition of this piece. It's funny because I am using this clip as reference to this piece that I'm working on in my private lessons.... at Ithaca. I bet we've already met, but I don't think I've heard this voice yet. Really beautiful, very jealous.
Lovely job! I first heard this song about 2 years ago when my friend sang it for her solo at contest. The poem itself is just beautiful, but Mr. Williams music carries it into transcendence :) Beautiful, beautiful interpretation!

Glad this could help, and glad you're considering Ithaca! It's an awesome school.

I absolutely love it there. Are you majoring in performance?

Sure am!

Nice vibrato. I heard some scooping though. Other than that, good job and keep it up! :-)

Aha! I see you've spotted my weakness :-)
Yes, I still need to work on the scooping. Thanks so much for the honest feedback!
