Does anybody still believes that the old-school advertisement works well ? How often do YOU click the Google add links ? How often do YOU buy laptop just seeing the annoying full-screen spam-style add ?
The consumer`s habit to buy products is changed and the advertisement must be changed as well. Deploying new ways to use MY screens for adds, Google just spoils its reputation.

@ishmelev Have you ever paid Google anything for their fantastic service that makes the Internet incredibly useful? How did you think Google makes money? Would you prefer to pay for Youtube and Google search instead of being shown ads? If so, start a petition with a million or so like minded people and persuade Google to charge you for their service in lieu of showing you ads. I'm sure Google would oblige as long as you enabled them to still make money.
