  • This is very cool! I second the request for source. Its really great for visualizing the under-the-hood operation of zfs. The intensity decay is snazzy, and reminds me of the old SunOS3 "Conway's game of life" screensaver. Thanks for your work making this!

  • Is the scrubbing viewable from the desktop similar to the defrag utility?

  • No there is no such visualization program in (Open)Solaris. I used dtrace to catch the read/written blocks to make this video myself.
