  • Is it fuller coverage than Studio Fix Fluid?

  • @imperfectrose17 hmmm that is hard to say it is different- not as powdery.

  • does this work for oily/combination skin?

  • @LifeOwnByMehx3 it is ok for it!

  • does this photograph well?x

  • @babygirlyasxx yes it does

  • This foundation for me is the best from MAC! The studio fix fluid Is the one that feels like a heavy caked on mask for me. Plus this one photographs beautifully! Oh and also this is non-acnegenic like the other foundations!

  • best reviews ever

  • do you think it would cover extreme extreme extreme redness :)

  • @3101maya it can but you should use a green primer so it can reduce redness

  • @FLEXIELOOLOO its mac fix plus basically when you spray it over the brush it applies a thinner layer of the heavy foundation

  • @FLEXIELOOLOO I think you are referring to the Fix + which is a water based spray that has multiple uses for make-up application. You can use it to moisten your face pre-foundation application or use it to set your foundation after application. Its also good to use for pigments/loose eyeshadows, just spray your brush and dip into pigment and it sticks to the brush better. Its an awesome multi use product! Hope this helps.

  • i LOVE YOU lollol!..every time i look up a review hoping for a good one..your pop up and i REALLY am in LOVE with yur reviews..they r so informational...THANK YOU!

  • @FLEXIELOOLOO I am not sure- sorry this video was taped over a year ago

  • @Lisasz09 i think she meant the spray

  • How well does this work with dry skin?

  • @LovelyLiars it will probably be to heavy for dry skin

  • does this foundation make skin break out plz reply soon x

  • @lilly838 there is no way to tell- everyones skin is different- sorry! The only way to know is to try it

  • i love too use a sponge, i just wet my sponge a little so it glides on.

thats how i get my flawless look, cream foundation are a perfect base for your makeup, cause you really get that porcelain flawless finish from it!

  • I bought this foundation about a week ago and I already hit pan! :o

I've been using it everyday and it's the best foundation I've ever had, but it goes so quickly. Definitely not an everyday kind of product though unless you're willing to pay the money to keep it in supply =/

  • @muhlynduhhhbitch How did you apply it :O With a sponge, foundation brush or with a brush like 187 ?

  • i dont have bad skin but i use a powder want do u think about select sheer and press powder ?

  • @ladygarcia25 I have not sued teh select sheer- I think the fix powder is the best or teh MSF natural for less coverage!

  • Could you apply this with a traditional foundation brush?

  • @Birkinbag09 yes you can!

  • does it look natural with just medium coverage??

ive heard it is a cream to powder formula, so would u think u need to set it with powder?

  • @dylanluver93 no you dont need to set it with a powder unless youa re really oily like me!

  • your technique of applying the studio tech, can it be applied to the studio fix powder plus foundation?

i luv your reviews btw, thx

  • @iApplefreakk no because this is a cream and the fix is a powder!

  • Hi! Do you think the Studio tech has more coverage than the Studio fix? (both compact I mean) or they have the same coverage? thank you! bye

  • @Maeryka no fixx has more coverage for me

  • i hav a question... is it ok to use a powder brush to apply it???

  • @nuriamileylover no I dont think that would work very well- it is thick!

  • what MAC foundation has the most natural look? as in making me look less obvious that i have foundation on..? :/

  • @HerCandySh0p probably the Tinted mpoisturizer

  • do you spray tan? great review by the way!

  • @LotsofLove06 yes I do versa spa now!

  • You rock!

  • Hey i was just wondering, would you recommend this foundation for someone with very oily skin and does it wear well throughout the day?? xx

  • @KookieKrispxox it is good, but there are better out there- like MUFE matte velvet plus and dior forever or sheseido sun protection! Good Luck!

  • thanks for the review!! could you please do a review on the studio fix powder foundation or the mineralize foundation spf 15? I need new foundation! :)

  • @Glitterygirl25 I do have a review on the fix powder and I have a review on the Mineralized skinfinish as well! I hope those help!

  • What does the fix + do for the foundation by spraying it on the brush? Does it change the application?

  • @bbycakes73 I ask this because I have tried the studio tech with a 187 and it comes out looking too cakey still. Will fix + change anything?

  • @bbycakes73 it makes for a smoother application!

  • this vid was very helpful thanks!

  • Thanks hun i will try the liquid then.=]

  • @sweetaztecangel69 if you want to cover tattoos then kat von d has a foundation specifically designed for hiding tattoo's and its cheaper then estee lauder

just go to sephora.com and type in "kat von d" and im sure you will find it! :)

  • @broadwaygirl2 I mentioned that one too- she had already tried it and it didnt work! :o(

  • Do you think it works better than the Powder fix foundation?

  • @sexiinsweet19 this is much more coverage than the powder fix- the liquid fix though has more coverage than the tech! :o)

  • i love your voice

  • awesome video! I was wondering if you could use this to hide a small tattoo...let me know! thanks :]

  • @sweetaztecangel69 thanks- i think it could work but the Kat Von D one is made specifically to cover tatoos! :o)

  • @Lisasz09 I tried it and had no success..it still showed through...

  • @sweetaztecangel69 darn- I would try maybe estee laude max coverage foundation it is made for covering tatoos as well- good luck!

  • @Lisasz09 I tried this to hide my tattoo and it worked wonderfully! when Im at rehearsals no one knows I even have a tattoo....you're awesome :]

  • i have a question momma:D ...i have very dry and flaky skin, oily on my forehead though...so what i expect from a foundation is a matte finish without create flakiness..so i always make sure i apply a lot of moisturizer first and than i normally use the studio fix powder plus foundation and set it with the blot powder & it is very good..anyways i wanted to try something new, so i recently bought the studio fix fluid and i hate it!! make skin looks a mess when i use it..just flaky and dry;((( ..

  • @naamalj I dont like fix fluid anymore either- I love NARS Sheer glow, Neutrogena healthy skin and Sheisedo sun protetcion liquid founadtion! :o)

  • great videos

do you need to use anything over the MAC studio tech to set the makeup?

can i use my MAC mineralize skin finish natural or is that a bad idea?

can you make a video of how to apply the MAC mineralize.

  • @Narrrgess you dont need to but you can if you want. :o) Sometimes I do sometimes I dont! :o) I just buff the MAC MSF Natural on where I am most oily over a foundation or all over if it is all I am weaaring!

  • This might sound like a silly question, but you know when you remove the foil seal on Studio tech? Should the foundation be underneath that? As I bought some from MAC's UK store, opened the foil seal, and there was no foundation, just a black palette? :S Also, great way of putting it on :3

  • @Telcontar yes there should be foundation below- sound like yours is a defective one- I would take it back and show them!

  • hello Lisa, can this foundation be used directly as a concealer? cos I don't really use foundation but I use concealer and loose powder everyday... thanks for the review :o)

  • @missekat0210 sure you can use it however you need it! :o)

  • this is my fave foundation as well as giorgio armani foundation ..... I was wondering do you have any experience NARS eyeshadow in (night clubbing or night breed)?

  • @coletoneaton I only own one NARS e/a it is in lola lola! It is good but not AMAZING!

  • how is the staying power for this foundation?

  • @fashionjunkie1994 it is real good! Since it sets to a powder it stays well! :o)

  • I have oily / combination skin with a bit of rosacea . I´m sure its great for the rosacea, but do you think it will work despite my oiliness?

  • @TheKarenation yes this actually has apowder base so it will work with oily skin!

  • does anyone else find this foundation quite yellow?

  • @georgia27576 did you buy a NC or a NW? NC is more yellow, but mac also has a tendency to oxidize on some skin so it does turn yellow when that happens! :o(

  • @Lisasz09 i bought NC20

  • i totally agree with you Lisa i love this i been wearing this for 5 years now cover up is amazing

  • do u think it would work for dry sensitive skin?

  • Studio tech is great for me. I have oily/combo skin with scars. When I tell you that I do not use a sponge or brush and the best application technique is your fingers I am not kidding. I use m.o.m with magix as primer and it goes on great. It is not heavy on my skin at all. Use studio fix powder + foundation over it and it will look FLAWLESS.

  • ermmm, im in high school and i dont have much time in the morning to apply my foundation so should i get this or should i stick to studio fix powder?

  • @sparkANDshimmer The powder would probably be easier and more error proof! Enjoy!

  • what is good for covering broken capillaries? :/

  • @Steph4nie6822 I would say the el max coverage! :o)

  • what is a nice mac foundation that is kinda creamy that will cover blemishes but not be to heavy?

  • MAC just came out today with a new mineralized one that is supposed to be great for just that! :o)

  • oh do you know what it called by chance?

  • it is called mineralize foundation spf15

  • I hope you can do a review on that one too. I'd love that. Love all your videos by the way!

  • i'm looking 4 one that would be good in pictures b/c i need a good foundation 4 my wedding next month. i have combination skin i was looking at the studio tech, msf natual and the moisture blend. i want 2 get the studio fix powder for sure but i was wondering what would work better with it? to have it as a powder for another foundation or to use it by its self with just concealer. i don't want a powder thats going to flake off either though. sorry if this is to long.

  • studio fix powder is a great powder for staying power and it does great in pictures

  • or if you think the new one might work as well? i'm trying to get to a mac store but its like 4hrs away lol

  • I am not sure I havent tried it yet sorry!

  • Comment removed

  • ahhh i seee, i have the cream moisture one, and i stopped using it because i looked like a foudation cake when i used the sponge... woooopss...

  • @pamperedpotato

You can still use the sponge, but the same technique applies. First wet the sponge with fix plus, and then apply the foundation. You can sheer it out to an amasing finish using a sponge.

  • thanks for the review doll! xo

  • im building my professional make up kit , do you think this is a good one to get? im thinking to get this and the face and body one, or do you thin there is a better one out there for professional use?. :D

  • That is a lot of personal opinion- test them out on yourself first and see how you like them and then decide what you like to work with best for your kit! Anything is good even drugstore options if they work for you and you can get all different color options!

  • thank u so much i am going o try it, that way if i dont like it i just get one and not many shades :D

  • Thanks for the tip! I used the Fix+ with my 187 as you suggested and it worked! Now I can finally use this foundation.

  • Studio Tech is the best foundation for everyday wear, it works best with a sponge.

  • Yep, I disagree with her too. I don´t find it heavy at all and I´ve tried it with my 187 and it does not give me coverage, better with a dampened sponge or the 109 brush.

  • i totally disagree, i think studio tech is a fantastic foundation, your right about it being buildable as i can add extra layers around my eyes as those are my darkest areas, but i think its light and gives me flawless coverage without any heaviness, whilst still allowing my natural skin imperfections to come through, eg, i have 2 beauty spots on my face. i also apply it with a sponge wedge and my finger tips and find it leaves my face feeling renewed, refreshed and revitalised.

  • Very Helpful. Thanks!

  • i have dry/normal combination clear skin i just have a lot of noticable redness on the corner of my nose and dark circles under my eyes...ive never used MAC before and i just bought it today...should i still use it even if i dont really need it??? i didnt even get a receipt to return it :/ the only tie i tried it was when the sales person put it on my face...HELP...! this review scared me a little...

  • you can use it just in the areas that show red- you dont have to use it all over! Enjoy!

  • i have really oily skin and i have tried the studio fix powder so would this help my oily skin

  • If Studio fix fluid didnt work this wont work any better- fix fluid is much better- if they dont work try the Dior forever foundation!

  • whats the difference between the studio tech foundation and full coverage foundation from MAC?....is one better coverage than the other and which one would you recommend for normal to oily skin ?

  • I am not sure since I do not own the full coverage one!

  • Have you tried the Studio Fix Powder plus Foundation? My skin is very oily, uneven, and I have some acne scars, and I'm looking for a foundation that is medium to high coverage and is oil-controlling. I currently use Revlon's Colorstay for Combination/Oily Skin which is better than most, and I was going to buy Studio Tech for the high coverage, but I was thinking Studio Fix Powder might be better? Your reviews are so helpful and honest and I was wondering what your opinion on that product is.

  • Mac is really heavy, and breaks a ton of people out, especially with oily skin. The one she is talking about won't break you out, but again is heavy.

I have oily/acne prone skin to certain things and I use bare minerals. It seems expensive, but if you get the starter kit (mine came with 2 foundations, mineral veil, and bronzer, along with 3 amazing brushes, better than mac in my opinion) and I think it's like $60. Seriously, consider this stuff, I love it, and you can build it up from sheer

  • to full coverage.

Where I live in my mall there is a bare minerals counter in nordstroms, macys, the bare minerals store, and a counter in ulta. the people there are super helpful and will find your perfect shade!

  • I would say to start with to get a good oil control lotion. when you use a good one you can use pretty much any foundation. I use Murad- I have a review on it if you want to see. Studio tech and fix have a setting powder in them which helps with oils but also makes the foundations a little darker than most. BE (person mentioned below) broke me out bad! If you want mineral makeup I would say MAC MSF Natural. But try Fix Fluid it is the best if it doesnt work return it!

  • I have tried applying Studio Tech with a duo fiber brush, and it made my pores look humongous. :( I had to go back over with my Sonia Kashuk sponge to blend it in! I save my DF brush for blush/MSF.

  • would this product work good on freckles

  • wow your skin looks perfect are you wearing studio tech? if not what foundation are you using, i've got to know

  • I had studio fix fluid on that day! :o)

  • hi lisa! i have oily skin and wondering what wud u suggest for a good finishing or translucent powder as well as a good mineral foundation. thanks so much...

  • I would suggest MAC MSF Natural for a good mineral makeup! A translucent powder would be MAC prep and prime powder! Enjoy!

  • What does MSF stand for? I have really oily skin and am foundation is so hard for me buy. My makeup looks obvious once my skin gets oily.

  • it is Mineralized Skinfinish Natural! It is a great powder and foundation!

  • What is the brush called again? A Doop brush?

  • its a skunk brush but a dupe means its a cheaper version of the brush

  • Dupe - short for duplicate

  • xD

    Doop brush ftw!

  • I like the Studio Fix better...I have oily skin and it doesn't break me out or look cakey. It has pretty good coverage and feels like powder and not like heavy foundation (cakey feel and oily skin do not mix well :P )

  • Lisa, Is it transferable? Will it smear onto clothing? Occasionally, I love pan makeup a la Max Factor pan stick. However, the Max Factor smudges onto clothing occasionally. I like the idea of a full coverage make-up from MAC.

  • This does transfer sometimes. :o(

  • I absolutely love studio tech over the satinfinish and studiofix. I will try the fix+

But, I would like to know your review on the Mac concealers. ei: Studio finish and Select cover up.

BTW: I always check your videos for your review before I look into purchasing any product. U hit the nail right on the head evvery time! THANK YOU! U R 'BE-YOU-TIFUL'!

  • I dont won any of the MAC concealers other than the studio sculpt and the moisture select- I do have review on both of those. I might pick up the studio finish one! :o)

  • Fix + doesn't do anything for the skin...it doesn't prolong makeup!!!

  • Thanks for the review. Blessings.

  • its so funny because juicystar007 just dida video showing how to use this foundation, bt she used it totally different

    have you watched it?

  • and also theres a doop for that brush that juicystar007 did a review on sigma brushes, i ordered the set myself and she said the sigma one was like 19 dollars or something but its even better then the mac brush you have to check it out too!

  • juicystar07 (007 is her twitter name btw) did it with a sponge. Lisa said you can do that, so I don't see your point.

  • Thanks for the video I was thinking about trying it...

  • oooo can you please do a review on ur ulta stipling brush?

    ur da best lisa :)

  • It is exactly the same as the MAC one- and not much cheaper iw ould suggest the MAC over teh Ulta one! :o)

  • thanks lisa!

  • OMG thank you so much for this review i loovvee cream to powder foundations and i was really looking into purchasing mac studio tech

  • would yu recommend it for any type of skin? or would yu say it is geared towards oily, dry, normal?

  • its better for dry skin.......if you have oily skin then you probably shouldn't use it because it's too heavy and it will become greasy.. :)

  • I think it can be used for any skin type as long as you use the right prinmer. Also It is a cream to powder formula so it finishes nicley for a combo skin! :o)

  • ugh is anyone else having the same problem as me?...every single youtube video i watch freezes up a few times and finally just freezes completely...I'm wondering if its youtube or my pc/internet...i've never had this prob b4...sorry lisa I'll try watching this again when it plays all the way for me...

  • It could be just your internet or pc. Sorry....

  • I think that is the best foundation from MAC. If you wet a disposable sponge with water and do a good blending, you'll get the most beautiful & natural coverage ever.

  • thanks for the tip!

  • this foundation is for dry or oily skin?

  • it can be used for either! :o)

  • have you try mac moisture blend?

  • I have not sorry!

  • Your reviews are great! The only thing that could make them better would be if you wore what you were reviewing! Thanks

  • hey lisa, do you think you can do a review on the mac studio fix conceler?

  • Sorry i dont own that concealer! :o(

  • can you do a review of mac wipes? is it okay for dry skin?

  • I do not own the mac wipes! Sorry! I love my kirkland face wipes!

  • That's so funny, because I totally stopped using MAC wipes and started using the Costco brand ones too. ^o^

  • this is an excellent foundation but for me i like it better in the winter months since i live on the east coast. summer usage..it will melt away. haha.

    love your videos. :-)

  • I've been wondering this since I've been watching your videos. When someone requests a review on something do you buy that product or do you only review things you already own? :P

  • If I own it I put it on my list to review right away. If I dont own it I put it on my list to check out and I tell them if I pick it up it will be shown in my haul video and then they can remind me then that they wanted a review- so I buy some things but I dont buy all ofthem and sometimes that are just things that I dont want or need.

  • Oh, thank you so much for answering:)

  • Thanks! Your the best! You always reply!

  • will this look flaky? could i use it without a primer, and will people be able to tell that Im wearing makeup?

  • it can look cakey if it is not applied very thin. I always need a primer with it!

  • Try with a wet sponge for thinner formulation. The more water the more blendable.

    It makes a difference!

  • What are your thoughts on the studio sculpt foundation and concealer?

  • I loved the foundation at first then i figured out that it breaks me out if I use it for more than 3 days. The concealer cakes on me! :o(

  • Can you do a review on the Moisture Blend Foundation (I think that's the name??). How does it compare with the Studio Tech??? Thanks!!

  • I do not own teh moisture blend foundation sorry!

  • you look super pretty!

  • what skin type do you think this is most suitable for? oily, dry, etc.?

  • I thikn it can work on most skin types with the right base! Oily if they use a mattifier and then dry if they use a good moisturizer and then fix plus! :o)

  • for all skin types pretty much

  • do u have the ful coverage foundation? if so could u do a review for that plz! thanks!

  • I dont have it I have not found it here at my stores- sorry!

  • thats ok! thanks! its a pro product maybe thats y!

  • Just to let you know, the MAC Full Coverage Foundation is the EXACT same thing as MAC Studio Finish Concealer, they just give you a much larger amount because it's meant to be applied to the whole face (obviously) rather than just in spots.

  • oh my gosh. thank you sooo much for this review! i was going to get the studio tech foundation but im rethinking it! i hate that heavy feeling so. uhm what do u think about the mineralized satin finish or studio fix fluid? beacuse i need a new foundation ASAP! lol but im leaning towards mineralized satin finish. is that a good choice?
  • I have reviews on both of those foundations! :o) I like the satinfinish but in the summer it is not enough coverage. I love studio fix fluid though great coverage and finish!

  • wow u r pretty !

can i ask u what to do if my face skin color is naturally lighter than my rest body ? and the powder and the foundation matches my face skin color !
