  • car series is a 2.0 160 hp car is the weight of 850 pounds is the chassis also sports like merger control

  • my cousin has a clio sport kit admission direct to the exhaust pipe of a large displacement motorcycle stabilizer bar and a weight loss of 100 kilos at the gates Sparco seats and an engine polishing and loose the engine weighs less

  • And if i have 406 1.8 16V?:-(

  • this is the 8v 2L turbo from citroen xantia activa, its the same has mine

  • amazing dude.And If I have 406 1.8 16V?:-(

  • sorry dude but that sound exactly the same as stock

  • If yours sounds like this standard, you have a hole in your exhaust the size of a cannon ball.

  • probably but then again it is hard to distinguish on youtube videos and mine is a diesel and i don't know what exact model yours is so I won't pass judgement

  • mate how did you get yours too dump with a standard dump valve on it???????????? that looks like the factory Bosch valve, but looks disconnected?

  • I disconnected the dump valve and attached a breather filter to it -- I can't for the life of me remember why, I think I read it somewhere in some modding guide - I got the full dump valve hiss with no loss in performance.

  • you say but there only 150bhp, i have the peugeot 406 SRi turbo one of the last ones ever to roll off the lin e. its done 103.585 miles to date, skimmed head, hybrid turbo, alloy hot pipes pvc cold pipe, kw variant suspernsion full decat and a baileys single piston dumpvalve, end result 207 bhp at 148mph ++ these cars go like stink with minimal work...ill get sum pics of my beast on here very very soon. keep an eye out

  • That would be a total beast mate, it's true they respond to even the smallest mods and it's amazing what you can get just by chipping and fitting a custom exhaust. You might want to look at a close ratio box as well. I hear you can just drop a standard Xsara VTS 5-speed box in and away you go. I'm planning to do that to my new 406 2.2 SRi.

  • All you'll ever need to do:

    1) Sports tyres (the best you can afford)

    2) Performance exhaust

    3) Decent induction kit

    4) Chip or remap with boost increase

Should be looking at 180-190bhp at the wheels.

    Further tuning:

    5) Bigger intercooler

    6) Bigger turbo with 360-degree wastegate and uprated internals

    7) Forged pistons, or re-bore with larger pistons, as standard pistons are stupidly vulnerable to high boost

  • dude, any idea what the difference is between the SRI turbo and the Executive turbo apart from the leather seats? both put out 150bhp as standard...

  • nice sound!

  • but there only 150 bhp

  • got the same motor,

putting on my 4 inch stainless back box on tonight,

my induction kit is in the post..

nice to know what im gonna sound like.

    ive modded the body too,

maybe ill post a vid in the not too distant..

  • nice sound, why you sell it now?

  • I've put the car up for sale now and will get a video of my new car up soon.

  • lovely sound mate.. always have thought the 406 is the best one of the best looking peugeot cars..

  • Sounds nice dude. you may find you get a little more power if you stick that pod filter in front of the radiator. if it's in the engine bay it's sucking in hot air. cold air is denser than hot air and thus gives a better compression thus = more power. re rout the air filter to somewhere it'll only pickup cold air and you may find a few extra ponies.
