I watched a program on free speech tv a couple of years ago about monsanto. It was about a farmer who was sued by monsanto because agents found GM plants growing on his land. The man was trying to grow normal corn and his land was poluted by monsantos GM corn, and they sued him for not paying. Alex is 100% right about what is happening, they say co2 is pollution but, but I have never heard anything about biological pollution in the main stream media.

GMO corn is engineered to not reproduce, so farmers have to buy seeds every year and so we can not reseed to grow our own food to sustain ourselves. They just built a brand new testing and learning facility in my home town. A huge complex that will bring growers from all over the world to learn from. They are teaching a variety of techniques, from advanced irrigation and so forth.
Our town lobbied hard to get them to come in, because of the population growth and sustained jobs it would bring the local economy. 90% of all corn grown goes to feed the cattle for our meat hungry country (don't qoute me on that, but it's around there) Have you contacted Monsanto and heard what their replies were? If not, get both sides of the story.

OMG. Did you know that the corn that the cows eat have harmful chemicals in it and many people wonder how the hell did they get cancer.. Cows also get injected with steroids so they grow and produce milk faster. I have done the research. I don't give a shit how many jobs Monsantos gave to the people.. This shit is slowly killing ppl.. I understand exactly where you are coming from. I don't like it any better or worse than you. It's weird that the town voted down flouride in the water supply, yet allows this to happen. Maybe they have their own seperate beef supply to their families? I don't know. It is a farming and cattle community. I have a guy raising about 10 cows on my place, just because he doesn't want the hormones and stuff added. He raises them by hand. I don't really eat a lot of meat.

I understand the entire debate, and understand how you and the rest of the nation must feel. I was only originally posting how Monsanto had gotten a grip on our community. I understsand the shit is infilterating our world. This community raises many of the crops that fuel world and national demand. Monsanto is now a player - like it or not. Don't shoot the messenger. I can tell you that the taste and even the smell of it cooking is way better than what you can buy in the stores. Especially the hogs. The pork chops and hog steaks and sausage cannot compare to store bought stuff. If any of you know a hog farmer that raises them the old fashioned way, get as much as you can. Even the fat, which is suppossed to be to be bad for you by today's standards, is HEAVEN! It is so good you will wonder what the stores/FED are up to. I swear to God.

They just built a brand new testing and learning facility in my home town. A huge complex that will bring growers from all over the world to learn from. They are teaching a variety of techniques, from advanced irrigation and so forth.

Our town lobbied hard to get them to come in, because of the population growth and sustained jobs it would bring the local economy. 90% of all corn grown goes to feed the cattle for our meat hungry country (don't qoute me on that, but it's around there) Have you contacted Monsanto and heard what their replies were? If not, get both sides of the story.

dud if it couses organ failure then it shouldn't be fed to anything. this video caused me to rethink my food buying habits and now i only make my food from scratch from non GMO grains, beans, and organic chicken (from my local farmer's ranch) or go hungry till i get home.

A lot of food that's labeled as organic is not even really organic. The government has been caught in the past of labeling non-organic food products as organic. The best solution is to grow your own vegetables.

Quit taking everything for granite. Start reading the ingredients on the label. If it contains high fructose corn syrup avoid it. It's very simple. If nobody bought food containing the poisons then they would no longer be a major income for the manufacturer therefor they would stop doing it. Really this is really really simple and you don't need to be a rocket scientist to read labels and use google.

The problem is that the government doesn't make producers label GM products so there's no way of knowing if what you're eating is GM or not.
The only way to know for sure that you're eating non GM food is to know the source or grow your own.
