  • My cat, Nibb, died in my arms in a very similar manner. He was pained to breathe and would whimper a little from the pain. In a matter of hours I was heading out the door to take him to the vet and he died in my arms. I cried like a girl.

He had another sibling from an older litter die the same way. His older sibling had a condition that I guess is kind of common, where their heart and lungs grow too quickly and eventually fill with fluid/blood. Can't remember the name, though.

  • To all:

Our Gingerboy passed away on 16/05/2010 @ 1120am. He passed away before his time and to this day we do not know what condition he was suffering from.

Hence I post this video up in order to gain more knowledge(and to prevent the same from happening to the rest of my kittens) on what could be, that plagued gingerboy to his death.

Anyone who has a similar experience with their own pets like this and know what condition that led to this, pls, do share.

  • You should not have done what you did. The kitten was looking for a quiet corner, because that is a cat's instinct when they are >sick<. They don't know when they are going to die, just as we don't. What you should have done:

    - put him in a quiet, dark room with a humidifier going full power,

    - put him on oxygen (oxygen bottles cost about $20),

    - smear some nose drops on him nostrils.

Granted, this might not have saved him in the end, but it would make for an easier end.

  • That is the saddest thing I have ever seen. It could have been asthma which is treated with meds. He could have been put in an oxygen cage to help him breath!!! Did you try that?

  • he probably has upper respirator infection and or pneumonia

  • This is absolutely heart breaking.

  • SEEK A SECOND OPINION!!!! THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING THE VETS CAN DO FOR HIM, ATLEAST TO MAKE HIM A LITTLE MORE COMFORTABLE.....

  • Please take him to another Vet

He could have lunge infection please help Him

dont let him suffer this way

If he cant get better , please but him to sleep

he dont even want to be cuttle ,, which means he is really ill and cant breath
