Yep! Now we face new hurdles... The GOP is pushing up the primaries and changing to closed primaries which means if you are not registered as a republican by Oct 12th, it's over for Ron Paul. :-( This is a really big deal

Ind can still vote in NH.

That law has always been around it was normally that Ds can vote in the R primary unless the switch 90 days before the primary. Because the primary date is not set they just picked Oct 12th.... there is no GOP conspiracy.. at least in NH.

Well I don't hold them as my #1 newsource but the rules in NH are NOT new.

also it only prevents Ds from voting in the GOP primary (26% of registered voters are Ds in NH) Most people (44%) are Is and they can vote in the GOP primary.

Their concern resides in the point you made about Democrats. Pauls campaign is succeeding because of independent, democrat and libertarian voters coming over to the republican party. Without that support due to the NEW RULES the odds are jeopardized.

Thanks for commenting. i am just trying to get a discussion going. We do need reform in the way that our economy works. Welfare and raising minimum wages, do not fix the problems we have. Someone like Dr. Paul could help us to reduce big business and private interest groups backed by government. The point isn't that you MUST donate 2300 FRN right now. The point I was trying to make is that, if you have a budget of X it is better to dump it all at once as early as possible. If you have to budget on a week by week basis then so be it. Getting donations in before the 30th count for much more than those after the 1st since there will be a campaign fund report on the 30th. Nothing attracts success like success.

Thanks xydan. I hope you can contribute to the campaign. YouTube must provide it's own credibility and campaigns don't move ahead without funding, hense the 'icing' of Dr. Paul. Likely that the media sees the writing on the wall that Paul will run out of money.

I did in fact contribute a large amount to Dr. Paul. It was the first time I've contributed, and will be the first time I've ever voted in 29 years. In addition, I've turned many of my military friends on to him. Even if we beat the media bias, and get the voters, the system is still broken, look at 2000/2004. We need to focus on this, getting back to legit paper ballots, not magic boxes.

Frankly, the importance of rubbing elbows with Republican caucus, Republican committee members and MOST important Republican DELEGATES cannot be overstated. I have seen one invterview of Dr. Paul by Lou Dobbs (not a hand-off reporter) but recall it was a 2 minute time-slot offered to all candidates.

Ron needs money in a big way. The pundits know it and are icing him, in part because of the scary truth he tells but largely because without money he will have to withdraw from the race. Sad but true.
