@JosephGlass13 because it does increase arm speed? your not building for bulk obviously, but the high reps strengthens the muscles, that's why there guys who are fat as hell and can throw 90, you don't need to be all that flexible
you need to be really flexible because your muscles have to be put on stretch to have a rubber band effect. mechanics and explosiveness are the only thing that matters. nolan ryan hit 100 before he ever even touched a weight. same with trevor bauer and tim lincecum. also look at aroldis chapman for example most flexible pitcher in the game. guys who are fat throw hard because they don't lift weights and maintain flexibility. mechanics and how you use your body creates arm speed. not lifting.
