Is is a group of 8 banks (6 in USA - 1 England and 1 Germany) that do ALL of the housing financing under contract with OUR government!! Fannie/Freddie were FORCED to give mortgages to people THEY KNEW would default - this pressure was put on them but - guess who - c'mon - guess???? Give up? OUR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT - which is now anxious to bail them out - because THEY caused it!!!!!!

I partially agree that the govt. pressured fannie to give those loans, but since people got bonuses for more mortgages and no penalty for default, the individuals gladly gave affirmative action loans to risky people. I know a guy that got 100K to go to art school from fannie(he is black) he use most of the money to fuck white bitches and buy drugs. he flunked out and defaulted (of course) .

Look at Compton California!! People making $70K a year - and get a loan for a $750,000 house - NO CHANCE of paying for that - when the first 3 years are $1200 per month - THEN - it goes to $2900 a month - NO POSSIBLE WAY to make that payment - and Fannie/Freddie knew it!!

Most banks these days are mega corps and they are both wall street and main street. I think that the mega corps are the problem...they get really greedy unless they're regulated. Smaller corps have to be more user friendly. The CEOs of the big ones get God complexes and it messes up their pea brains.

Kinda hard to turn down a big pile of money that is part of your contract. Would you do it? Most people wouldn't right or wrong. Do you think Obama would? Maybe...but I doubt it. Remember, most of them got it because of their contract...not because they rewarded themselves. How is Obama going to step in and void legal contracts...that's police state stuff.
