  • the urination aspect ruined it.

  • Хорошо

  • SO WAIT A MINIT.. WAS THAT THE WHOLE FILM??

  • Oh and I forgot to mention. To quote the Ren and Stimpy show, "Don't pee on the electric fence."

  • I love the robot, he looks like a bunch of old time microphones slapped together on an old time coffee dispenser.

  • effects were amazing but the story was weird and i couldn't understand the robot

  • With much work on the story telling , you all could be a hit... It's interesting how he call's the robot a person...

    Fantastic work on the visuals..

  • its like the writer fell asleep watching cowboy bebop and missed the point of it all

  • That looks like Rose's boyfriend, from Doctor Who.

  • @MacFasse ............. it is

  • @cdulez Thought so. Guess the way Rose treated him pushed him over the edge, lol.

  • If you freeze it on the newspaper, you will find a story referring to the N Y courts,

so I would assume it's set in New York

  • I dont get it.

  • @Jaliband Noir films took place any where from New York to San Francisco, depending on the film --and France and England had their Noir films based in London and Paris. I'm not certain what you mean about curling our "r's. It depends on what region you are from. For example in Indiana some pronouce Car -- Cour. But the accent is not distracting to me, but it doesn't sound like any American accent or even like he's trying to sound American to me.

  • @Jaliband Canadian or American from which region? Different accents across both countries. He just sounds like "Noel Clarke" to me, so I didn't notice any particular 'accent" And I don't know about clarity in setting Matt Savage says it was shot on location in London written for an English short film festival or something.

  • it was shot so well and the music and then OH MY GOD WHAT THE FURK, i'll let you figure out my sudden change of heart

  • That was so strange. Though I do love me some BAMF Noel :D

  • Nicely done! I like how the main detective character uses a Webley revolver.

  • Great work! Unexpected ending though.

  • The visuals were great, but as others said the storyline wasn't exactly stellar. Clarke also puts on a pretty bad American accent, so he needs to see someone about improving that.

I'd still be interested if this makes it to a feature length film, but there needs to be a good script behind it first.

  • @Mullers What makes you think that was supposed to be an American accent? It's not an American film.

  • dieselpunk ftw

  • Nice visuals, but dear God that was a horrible story.

  • Love the retro-noir-style music...especially the electrocuting bit

  • pretty cool but end is stupid

  • Pretty cool. Mythbusters showed you practically have to have horse piss though for it to conduct.

  • @epiphoney I love mythbusters.. but it ain't exactly hard science. In this case I'd agree that it's "Unlikely" but not impossible. I think you could get fried if you were unlucky. In other words.. I'd never trust mythbusters enough to piss on a powerline ;-)

  • Riddled with cliches, and a fairly blatant rip-off of Autamata from Penny Arcade, but very nicely presented. 3.5 out of 5

  • Cool.. but peeing on the robot seems very out of character.

  • Fantastic!

  • also why did he pee on the robot

    thanx

  • @pinkbunnybutt short it out?

  • omg i cant beleive he peed on the robot . gross !

  • Pretty awesome

  • Nice Idea. Need to tweak the audio levels to make the dialogue clearer. Poss a little film effect to to make it more 'period'

  • Good fun.

  • cliche dialogue and a bad accent from Clarke........ great effort otherwise.

  • very cool

  • Awesome stuff!

    Well done all involved!

  • Very cool. Love the noir style of it, looking forward to seeing what they could with this when they make it feature length. :)

  • interesting! i'm looking forward to seeing where this leads! :)

nice little piece of film, although make-up could've been done better, and perhaps we need subtitles for the barely comprehensible, cylon-sounding robot! :p

  • Ha ha! Excellent stuff!

  • fucking love it .x

  • Props to Noel Clarke. That man must be the most hard working person in British film at the moment.

I loved the film too :)

  • fantastic, kind of sad that Noel's character had to die with his dick out and in his hand though... well, logically that's how he really died, movie magic had it all back in its place.

  • Brilliant!
