i only wish more ptoplt would TNR,some cats ight not be feral just afraid,in ost feral colonies the truly feral cats will always keep away from you,but that is good so no human can get ahold of the and hurt them, please do spay and neuter the ones that can be adopted onto a forever family will let you lnow hey here i a i like people it might take some time just love them all
Poor baby is so scared - I would try and do everything possible to pick it up without it getting scared even more, and pampering it with cuddles, kisses and affection.
Many academic studies have found a clear link between cruelty to animals and violence towards humans. The sick creep on here who brags about shooting feral cats haunts other cat videos making extremely disturbing remarks about how much he enjoys seeing cats suffer. If you challenge him he becomes extremely obnoxious and even threatening. Hopefully, the ASPCA will soon catch up with this sadistic individual and deal with him appropriately.
i saw 4 kittens just like this 1 in a box xD just beside our houses door lol and a cat came to our garage and gave birth to 3 kittens just the same as this 1 all of the 7 ran away by me scaring them :P
i saw 4 like her in a box old lady came out told me you want them take them i told her i dont and then a mother cat gave birth of 3 kittens just like that in our garage xD they all ran away by me scaring them :P
Ofcourse it tears at your heart to see small animals and children being scared and wary but it is a good thing. Rather be safe than sorry especially with so many sickos in society that like to torture those weaker than them.
I have a cat and he's the most loving little guy ever. He is very cuddly at home but when he is outside he does not even come near anyone else except for other cats and the small animals he hunts. It makes me feel better to know that no one can come close enough to hurt him
My family brought in two cats from the outside after being outside for between 1 and 2 years. They (was about 15ish outside or so total) were exposed to folks in our building. They got fed, some let us pet them and they were generally an easy going bunch. Both or our girls were awesome inside only pets. One of them lived until she was 21.
I wouldn't expect this from all out door cats but don't write off the little guys, they might surprise you.
feral kittens may be scared at first, but if they're caught when young, they can warm up pretty quickly, and will ultimately live a much longer, healthier life if they are cared for by people. Adult cats are best returned though.
so sweet & scared, poor little kitty. i'm glad this cat is happy now!
by the way, kittyTNRchick, i brought a feral inside when winter was beginning cuz she was pregnant & the kittens may not have survived (maybe not such a bad thing, what w/the overpopulation). all kittens now adopted. feral, neutered, still in house. still feral. but also very happy-warm, good food, 2 (non-ferals) to cuddle & play with. she's scared of me, which is why i leave her alone. sometimes they do like to be inside...
Feral cats are really scared of humans which is understandable. Although they appreciate a can of food they are happiest outside with Trap/Neuter/Return.I do appreciate caring people not turning away and wanting to help out cats but please remember feral cats/kittens are happiest outside spayed and neutered and cared for by a human caregiver, not inside frightened like this kitten here. He's meowing as if saying please don't hurt me.Again, THANK YOU for helping cats but please Trap/Neuter/Return.
Well, I dont know if you are just cruising by every feral video or what, but there is a whole story posted about this cat and her brothers, ALL of whom we T/N/Red except one who we adopted because he was NOT scared out of his mind. Believe it or not, other humans sometimes DO know what they are doing!
Oh another thing, I am cruising by alot of feral cat videos. Just checking out what's on U-Tube about this. That's all.Hey just like you I like to help feral cats. The way I see it is they are misunderstood animals. Thanks for being on their side!
@kittyTNRchick TNR does not work. it has been proven to only INCREASE feral populations and allow for the destruction of wildlife and the environment. The best/only solution to feral cats is a program call TKD ( trap/kill/dump in trash). It works 100% of the time. We eradicated a feral colony near our neighborhood which was causing alot of damage. About 60-70 cats, we trapped them all w/in 3 weeks and killed them all. Now, there are no ferals left. Problem solved.
@apfrezende 2 ways, one it is still out there killing native wildlife. 1 is greater than 0 is it not? and if it is dead 0 is less than 1 is it not. Learn.
@svvmichael1 Way to throw out BS and misinformation to support killing defenseless animals. Humans have the worst impact on all wildlife. An estimated 7 million birds die each year because of lawn pesticides. Also, feral cats' stomach contents show that birds make up less than 1% of their diet (they eat more bugs than birds) while small mammals/rodents comprise a figure in the mid 90's percentile range. Remember what happened to Europe after they killed off their cats for superstitious reasons?
@LittleManine That is completely untrue. Feral cats not only eat birds, they kill them for sport. Each feral cat kills anywhere from 500-2000 birds per year. Stop making up lies just because you like this vermin animal.
@svvmichael1 "Making up lies." Real mature. What I posted is accurate. What you've posted is not. I did my research and gave you facts. But you don't want facts, do you? You want excuses to kill. Get therapy.
@LittleManine I did my research. So, you want us to believe that the feral cats (a non-native species) has no negative effects on the environment and native species?
awwe. i do the same thing as you until last week a 3 week old kitten died in my arms and i am done now. too emotional for me. but i was able to save dozens of lives during my mission. kudos to you friend
Oh...how sad. Hugs to you, I totally understand. But at least you comforted the kitten's last moments, and you should always remember that as the good part. And you get lots of credit for saving the others too.
Aww. My kitten was a feral - we got him shortly after his capture, so he wasn't quite the tamest thing. D: He had the please-don't-hurt-me eyes for the first few days.
Every one of my cats are or were ferals, strays, or abandonds. Yeah they always have that wide-eyed, please-don't-hurt-me howl, it's cute and sad at the same time. I've had only about one in three tame down, a lot of it depends on the cat's personality.
I fostered feral kittens... the poor things are so scared. Pretty mean, too. But after a few weeks, they were the sweetest girls in the whole wide world...
That little face makes me want to cry. Poor baby must be so scared....
The most beautiful feral cats are on the lot at Warner Brothers. Have you ever seen them? They are sleek and wild. As soon as they become aware of you watching they slide like quicksilver back under the sound stage buildings. Someone feeds them.
This baby in your video is so sad -- such a pitiful mix of pleading and warning you off. I am glad that things turned out well for it.
God she looks so sad....just hearing that wimper makes me want to run into the bedroom and scoop up my feral babies into a hug ( we have three)! What's the latest on her? Has she tamed down and/or have you found a home for her?
We captured her brother too and neutered both of them, but unfortunately after more than 3 weeks (on Feliway vaporizer!) they were still wild, hissy, and probably untamable. So we released them back into the wild (OK, our back yard, but we have over 2 acres) and now they are happily out there with their mother and other sibling.
Yeah, that happens.... there's quite a few variables when it comes to taming ferals-getting them at the right age, their experience with people, their personalities...it's hard to judge sometimes. My husband and I've adopted three ferals over the past year (two kittens one adult) and lucky for us, they've tamed down so that you'd never've known that they were wild...and believe me, they WERE! It's a roll of the dice I suppose, but at least your wee one is happy and safe.

# of Feral Cats = 2 Cats (Male and Female)
2 Feral Cats + No Action = Lots and Lots of Cats
2 Feral Cats + TNR = 2 Cats
2 Feral Cats + TNR + X Number of Years = 0 Cats + Humanity
2 Feral Cats + Killing = 0 Cats - Humanity
LittleManine 6 months ago
@LittleManine 2 feral cats + TNR = 1000 dead birds per year per cat (means inhumane choice)
2 feral cats + TKD (Trap,Kill,Dump in Trash) = saved 1000's of bird life (means moral choice)
my way saves thousands of sentient lives. You lose.
