  • Hey lady. Thanks for reposting this one. I cna't quite explain what it sounds like in my ears when I listen to this...so many things about it that just makes my ears VERY happy. You KNOW how I feel about my Fab 5th. I wish somebody would post either "Broken Winged Bird" or "Half Moon". Two AWESOME Billy-led songs that those who are not die hard fans probably don't know about but SHOULD know because they are Ear Candy.

  • I've told this story so many times but the song is so haunting and beautiful, it makes me so happy and sad too. One Autumn, sunny and clear day in 1973 I crunched through the leaves to see my beloved sister. I was her favorite sis and she was mine. She fixed us some creme de menthes and milk and put this on the box and it was a day that I will not forget, it was so beautiful. Two sisters and this and love for family. She's gone now. Peace.

  • Please post the alternate version with a different vocal from Billy Davis, Jr. I believe it's even a little longer than this version. Thank you for this!

  • @grooverunner I like that version too. His adlibs were wonderful.

  • Rolava os anos 70, precisamente em 1971 quando estes caras gravaram esta fantastica musica !!! Salve 5th Dimension !!! Um hino ao bom gosto !!!

  • I love the song... the melody is so refreshing.. the title itself is morbid but understanding what the lyrics says, it's a reflection of a baby boomers who returns his roots after explore his own world....

  • The song says just what I expected it says. I couldn't understand the lyrics, but I have just got the feeling. Now I understand It better and I can better understand what I feel when I hear it. Your explanation helped me a lot. Thank you so much!

  • what the song is saying is that all the things from there early youth is now being taking away because the times are changing and new homes are being built and new office buildings and they are sad thinking about the past wishing it was still like the old days. like me i wish i could go back to the 70s.they were the best of times. peace.

  • At last this video returned to us. I've tried to find it here, but it was impossible. So, thanks for the excellent post. Although I can't understand the lyrics well, I love this song. It's a little sad, but very very beautiful. It touchs me in a special way and it make me miss something I don't know what or where is. Here in Brazil, it's difficult to listen to it on the radio.

  • Brings a lot of memories back...they are a beautiful musical entity, REAL music!

  • Nice.

  • Thanks for posting this. This song, particularly the Fifth Dimension's version, has a strong emotional impact on me.
