These are American, the Japanese rarely used gun cameras, and this is defiantly late war because of the color footage.

  • @superphos30

Hey, dont know why the info does not show up.....

If I do get the name I'll post up!

This music is available on the youtube audioswap page.

  • Boy, are they let'em have it !!!!

  • Cool video. I also like the music, who does the music background on this? Thanks!

  • @superphos30

I will find out, pass the info on.

  • Good footage! I always wondered why some footage looks so different from some other footage. I mean, weren't the cameras all the same? I suppose this might be from several different aircraft types, but I've seen footage that's supposedly all from Thunderbolts (for example), but some of it's a lot clearer than others, and sometimes you can see the smoke from the tracers, sometimes you can't. Different film, maybe? Or just the way it's been stored?

  • @justforever96

    Might be the case.

Could also be the way some of the film was stored.

  • @justforever96 - smaller planes - fighters - absorbed less recoil from their guns than bigger planes, making for sometimes shaky gun cam footage. Much of this video, I assume, was shot from the B-25J Mitchell ground attack variant given the weight of fire. And the bomber would have provided a more stable platform for the gun cam.

  • @hotel283 That's possible, with this video, but I was talking about gun camera footage in general, not just this video. You might be right about it being B-25J (or even just a regular glass-nose B-25 with "gun-blisters" beside the nose). I wish I knew where/how they mounted gun cameras on B-25's...I figured this footage came from fighters with wing-mounted guns, since the tracers come from both sides of the screen, but if the camera was mounted on the nose of the B-25 it'd look the same. =P

  • @justforever96

It could also be the weather.

Humidity fogging up the lens and such.

  • Great video and I am surprised how you got all of this!

  • LOL, I did not steal it, I had it archived for about 4 years or something.

    Just found it.

  • Where did you steal this from? Its GREAT!
