  • Humans kill Humans, even without Guns.

    Guns just make it faster.

  • war is not "human nature". It is learned behavior.

  • @KickinShadows good and bad exists in everyone, self control is the key, conflict is natural whether small or big

  • @jurassicturd3 what is good, what is bad? Who defines what is good or bad? Please elaborate on your reply

  • @KickinShadows What si your human nature, who defines it?

What is learned behaviour, who defines it?

  • @jurassicturd3 ok so you were either drunk when you wrote this reply, seeing how it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, or you have no idea what i'm talking about, and want to take the attention off yourself because your embarressed. For being 37 years old, you seem very immature and quite ignorant. I gave you an opportunity to explain your first reply, seeing how vague and narrow minded it was, now I realize that your not worth my time : /

  • @KickinShadows Your responces are vague are narrowminded, nothing you said was justified by any substance

  • @KickinShadows As beings that evolved in a world where you kill or die, homicide is an expression of the same drives (fear, anger) that kept us alive during that evolution. Like sex, you don't have to teach anyone how to kill someone, though like sex, technique and practice certainly help. So homicide is part of man's natural behaviors and as such, "human nature".

War is just a very organized form of homicide on a larger scale.

  • OH NOT THE BEES , NOT THE BEES !! HO MY EYES MY EYEEES

  • War, war never changes...

  • @maxxrexx that's all you've got hippy?

  • woohoo, random theory man! (nicholas cage) :D

awsom song, and wars will always exist, and it never changes.

  • klasnaja melodija i film prosto super

  • Brilliant movie.

  • офигенная мелодия, да и вообще это один из моих самых любимых фильмов. кстати исполнитель мелодии - Антонио Пинто

  • Who is this song? Gustavo Santaolla?

  • A brazillian called antonio pinto.

  • America should become communist

  • Communists are what Nazis would be if they had no sense of shame.

  • go to cuba and stay there forever if you want. Leave the inteligent countries be frees.

  • this a beautiful track, true to the movie we are the biggest arms dealer. The USA we sell guns all over the world, africa you name it, may not be an american gun but it was obtained by the government through middle men. Read about it, how we armed saddam to the teeth with russian guns, but we did it with our middlemen. That is the world we live in, and now the Russians are angry, and want revenge, they shall have it, because OBAMA has no balls when it comes to putin. Usher in the new era

  • hmmm. no. faggot.

  • I doubt thats merely a question of Obama being a coward. America has enough conflicts and problems as it is (Crisis, Global Warming, Middle East, Iraq, huge debts). Starting another conflict would almost be suicide. Not to mention it is hard to lead in America, where you always have nearly half the politicians against you.

  • HAHA, you'll make the worse president if you think the Russians havent killed more innocent people than the US,

You remember the millions Stalin killed, more than Hitler,

    The wars in Chechnya,

The countless peace activists in modern day russia,

And your saying, the Russians are angry? lol

    dont run for office,

  • Most of the worst regimes on the planet were put in power by Marxists. The Soviets were the ones who supplied Saddam - their $70 billion past-due bill was a major reason why Saddam invaded Kuwait.

Most Marxists know this very well, but that doesn't stop them from pretending that all of Saddam's Soviet equipment was from the US all along.

Marxists are absolute pricks. Take it from somebody who has known far too many of them.

  • My favourite !!!

  • damn people, you guys are drowning in your own deepness.

  • and the way that picture is drawn and the way you added it to film reminds me of Bill Plympton's work =) thanks for the upload

  • How redundant.

  • cunt!

  • I was refering to the title, but thank you anyway.

  • As long as there still is free will, there will always be war. Someone will always want better, want more. The question is, can we deny them that? Where is the line drawn, a man wants more food for his family and in order to keep them alive, he must kill others to ear a paycheck. There is no way to unblurr those lines. That is why hope, belief, and dreams of peace are what keep us going day to day.

  • thats damn rite i always thought the saying "it could be worse" kept people going

  • the message this movie is trying to send, is what if I didn't do what I did? What if I wasn't the one who sold the weapons? Would someone else? Would they still get sold without me? Or would their be less guns available out there. Everyone does what they need to survrive.... but at what cost? Peace does exist. It is something we each desire, with or without religion. Peace can be anything - for some the belief in a God and Saviour, and for others it can be something else.

  • I've got to say I agree with some of the people here. Peace is an illussion created by hope. Hope is the offspring of religeon, which also happened to give birth to ignorance... Christians worship a carpenter that lived two thousand years ago, and was apparently a really nice guy... Doesn't that just sound foolish when condensed like that? I took all of those lies about magic out. >:3

  • Very nice, i love this song. I think Antônio Pinto is a great brazilian master.

  • anyone have the m3p for this? get back to me thanks

  • Well pinky16p, I suppose Freedom of Speech means to you, pinky, the right to say what you want to hear. Naaaw. That's no it. You got that one wrong!

  • peace=not real stop taking lsd and other drugs.

war=real life the only life that has and will always exist till the end of days.

  • how can you say peace isnt real , you lose sir

  • hes right, humanity will always rage war, the day peace is acheived is the day humans are extinct

  • The final peace may also be achieved by enslavery and a global country, controlling everything and everyone.

I do not wish for it, though.

  • New world order approaches us... There will be much crying, and then finally, silence..

  • lol keep crying while everyone enjoys their life to the fullest dumb ass , life is a gift not a right

  • I enjoy my life thank you very much. and you are wrong if you think life and happyness is not a right. If you are lucky enough to be born, than it is your -right- to live it in happyness. from whom do you think this gift is to us given?. The governments?.. you obviously did not understand my comment in the slightest.

  • "this gift" life would have been given to us by the lord if you believe in him or ....... you can burn in the flaming pits of hell

  • I agree to that.. but -that- is a relationship between each individual and their creator.. though once we -are- here, in reference to government or other individuals, it is -our right- to live it, and how we wish, to no one elses concern, as long as we too do not harm others.

  • @ALECandPIZZA this isnt the medieval ages you know and i am amazed that a man of this era actually believes in heart this kind of bullshit wake up from your dream man

  • I really like the way you wrote this if only people understood the educated well read mind as posed to the Media Infested thought provoked mind .... where one does not know ones owns thoughs to the next, i.e I suddently feel like a Coke ...... *scratches head*.

Surely you get what i mean.

  • amen.

  • fuck you

  • Crying .... I am crying thinking about how much crap is going on arouind us and yet we have no control over it as it happening ... my advice to curb the crying is join an occult, you know which ones an talking abt or join one of the three main monetheistic religions. Surely one these has to be right ....

  • and than finally, trying to be an enlightened prick but sounding like a nigger in the process.

  • racist.

  • Faggot

  • @VAKanako According to all your channel comments no one likes you, the world wants you to get aids and die.. rofl... I'd have to agree with them.

  • the day we achieve a true world peace is the day we cease to be human.

  • thats a beautifull quote.

  • Anyone no the name of this song?

  • "Warlord" :-D

it's on the on the soundtrack :-)

  • Thanks! I play the guitar so I find this song very interesting. =D

  • I love this movie - I saw it the other day;

    It's a great entrepreneury story.

  • As long as humanity exist wars have been, they are, or will be waged. It's just our nature...difference is only the weaponry.

  • sad but true

  • That is partially true but it is not only humans. Ants go to war with other colonies and on the ocean bed crabs war each other.

  • But if you look at it, both ants and crabs live in some sort of a Hive society with a dominatrix hive mind, (don't know about crabs but ants definitely do). We have the intelligence to not fight, they don't.

  • As long as humanity exist wars have been,

as long as wars have been humanity exist.

  • Exactly as lukeclews said...Animals fight for territory, females, food etc. We do so also...but difference is that politics fame and money come to these basic needs. War is a part of cirlce of life nothing more... thats my point.

  • We fight for Commodities. Consumerism is a primary catalyst for that (I think)

  • u sure about that ? take the red pill and enter the matrix and behold the power of the NWO...

  • Beautifully put ... If only it was that simple ... an illusion of an pill to get people to realise that the world has a night and a day for reason. Everything is visible for the whole world to see yet come night fall, the mind goes to sleep and there goes all hope for any salvation for humanity.

  • the usa spent more on there military than the next 48 countries combined think about it

  • people who have political debates on youtube are losers.

  • you officially fail... you think that anyone who cares enough to express an opinion is below you. i hardly think youre in a position to pass judgement, you sound like a retard venting your narrowmindedness in a format youre trying to condemn, you are a hipocrite

  • Sin666,

You stated flamboyantly like the self-righteous socialist you are:

"i hardly think youre in a position to pass judgement, you sound like a retard venting your narrowmindedness in a format youre trying to condemn, you are a hipocrite"

Well, well, well, look at who is the one capable to pass judgment on other without calling himself a hypocrite... Only a sinner like you, Sin636! LMAO!!!!!!

  • The 'socialist' wasn't needed, man...

  • thank you germanlamonda

Sin636, if you have an opinion you are free to say whatever you want

but insulting people/countries/governments over the internet is childish

  • nice hair :)

  • teebisSmokeytheBear: "Some parts of the movie were "twisted" sure, but I think you're reading too far into it. "

I see. Well, I think you're reading too short into it.

  • The movie is actually based on real-life arms dealers Victor Bout and Leonid Minin, both of whom have supplied arms and ammunition to both governments and rebels in the Middle East and Africa. I won't get into into the "political agenda," but I will say that the U.S. is not an innocent country.

  • "I won't get into into the "political agenda," but I will say that the U.S. is not an innocent country."

Don't worry. We have President Obama now. No more mistakes. No more errors. No more miscalculations. No more wars. No more poverty. No more hunger... Nothing but peace and prospertity... right?! We shall see... The world can be so good... and so evil too. Blame it on US

    ;>)

  • Isn't popular opinion "BLAME CANADA!!"

    Fucking south park.

  • US hates Canada? I havnt know about some disputes between US and Canada.

  • I think nobody hates Canada :)

  • yes me to, I dont have reason to hate canada, except that hockey in sunday 26. april CANADA - SLOVAKIA 7:3 :D:D:D

  • Oh yes, Latvia also always loose to Canada :D

  • I wouldnt pin all your hopes for humanity on Obama, hes a damn sight better than Bush but he's hardly going to end poverty... thats the job of everybody, not just one man.

  • u shud watch the obama deception, i think half of that docu's BS but it does shine a light on obama being a lier, eg, his promise to take US troops out of the war on terror, but instead he has increased the forces ther, there are other little stories too, but i cant remember them

  • thank you but actually i pefer it my way

  • I'm watching it now ;P

  • I guess for some people it is better to live in fantasy land than to face reality. "Lord of War" is good movie, but it has a biased political agenda. Hence, grossly exaggerates facts, and also fabricates some of its own, to make, what it could be, a valid point. At that moment, the movie becomes a political agenda driven propaganda movie, losing objectivity by twisting facts of real-life. Consequently, a valid point is manipulated due to radical interpretations. One thumb up, the other one down.

  • When I watched it I felt like it's just meant to entertain and make the producers money. If there is a political message in it I didn't get it.

  • You didn't get any message out of this movie, you FatGermanBastard?!

  • haha its funny i thought you were insulting him but thats actually his nickname! well i agree with you tme movie was really great, and the message so realistic and dramatic

  • then you are blind, or fuckin dumb!

  • So what is the deeper message this movie wants to communicate to us then ?

  • kind of went along the lines of

war will always happen even if he stopped selling his weapons someone else would have took his place or they would have fought on hand to hand.

  • Everybody knows this anyway...

  • true apart from those bastard protesters who wont shut the fuck up about tibet.

  • Biased political agenda? I guess I kinda agree a little bit but it's not "political" like a "elect Obama!" or "More Welfare!" statement. It's just an investigation of the philosophical concepts concerning moral responsibility of people that only "aid" bad people, not neccesarily do the actions themselves. I don't really see this being used as a campaign ad, and if you're talking about anything philosophically deep being "political," frankly I'd prefer that to always watching Napoleon Dynamite.

  • TewbisSmokeytheBear,

Political agenda has nothing to do with Obama. Nothing with an election campaign. It has to do with the the intended message behind the plot, which basically implies that an "evil" US Government, and Pentagon, are involved in supporting an illegal arms dealer, to break the law selling weapons for profit, while spreading armed conflicts all over the world. In the process, the movie twisted facts and told lies. Think what the political agenda is...

  • And did the Lord of the Rings have a hidden agenda against old men with white hair? Twisting facts about their secret lives that they bred evil superorcs in lairs under their towers while they made pacts with dark lords? You could say there is a message in anything, and there usually is, but I think you're reading too far into how "real" this was intended to be. It's fiction. Under the circumstances they present/twist/create, the "message" was fine. It's just supposed to get people to think.

  • Comment removed

  • You missed my point. They never said that everything in the movie was real. As far as I know the only thing they stated as a fact was the last line on the screen, that the U.N. Security Council sells the most weapons of anybody. Do you seriously not believe this? We've given billions just to the new Iraqis in training and arms, and that says nothing of Israel, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, or Iran. Some parts of the movie were "twisted" sure, but I think you're reading too far into it.

  • I i live 10 miles from the Russian border in the far north of Norway and its sick to see how locked up it is.Think they have promision to shoot you if you try to get over the border illegally, crazy vodka drinkin russians standing on their border posts with their ak's

  • How factual can be that Interpol agents go into Russian territory, enter a military base, to threaten Russian soldiers?!... Not only wouldn't happen, but IF it did, the Interpol agents would never make out alive!

  • This movie was loosely based in a true event. The problem with it is, as usual, Hollywood's producers changed the facts and grossly exaggerated most everything. Just to give you all a hint, the arms dealers in the movie (Cage) they claim is from Russia, when in real life the guy is actually from Israel... and from there on, they mixed it up pretty bad. Nevertheless, most people think that actually it happened just like in the movie... Nope! Another semi-factual movie from Hollywood fantasy land.

  • As if the character's origin changes the unfortunate realities of arms dealing?

  • The fact is, as sad and tragic as it is, arms dealing is one of the many bad things that happen in planet Earth. So you will always find good and bad, as long as human beings exist. The problem I have with the movies is, the many distortions and lies in it. For instance, Interpol agents do not command warships after suspected arms smugglers vessels, or ride "shotgun" in jet fighters going after suspected planes. Neither a General from the Pentagon tells Interpol, "Leave our guy alone." You see?

  • hehe your right, the scene where Hawke is sitting in the plane is a bit stupid

  • Eideyo, What about when armed Interpol agents go into Russia, to a military base, and threaten Russian soldiers protecting an arms deal? It never happened! And the list goes on and on...

  • The movie just represents the whole event of illegal arms dealing.....

It's not like they were trying to retell the story of some specific person......

And it's a movie.......not everything is going to be realistic...that's how movies are.....get over it.

  • LaRueDeeko,

Illegal arms dealing is an evil fact of life. So why not to make a factual movie that represents actual events. The movie is based on a real incident, however, it grossly exaggerated the facts, combining them with outright lies, just to make the U.S. Government look corrupted and sinister. By the way, this real-life incident happened under the administration of Bill Clinton, so don't get all excited and blame Bush.

I don't think the movie was bad, except it vilely twisted the truth.

  • I already told you that it's not the truth....

    It's a movie...........they aren't always truthful....get over it and stop complaining.....

Sure...there's no reason not to make a factual movie with all of the real events....but that's not what Lord of War was. It was movie that took a very real concept...and presented it with it's own fictional story.

It wasn't based on just one event, but presented the arms dealing phenomena in a general fashion.

  • So what's your problem, LaRueDeeko?! I expressed my opinion. Does it bother you?

  • I'm just trying to get you to see where your wrongly attributing traits to the film.

If this movie was trying to be authentic and realistic...then your accusations would be more accurate.

But you're expecting too much out of it....and then judging it by some higher degree of realism that it wasn't even attempting to portray.

Take the movie for what it is.....not what you wanted it to be.

It never advertised to be completely realistic and factually correct.

  • This movie advertises that is based on a true event, thus implying it's factual. Viewers are led to believe that the U.S. Government had a direct involvement with the arms dealer. In reality, that did not happen. Clandestine arms suppliers come from all over the world, Russia, France, Israel, Jordan, you name it. However, the movie choose to "dump" all over the US Government.

If you want to believe that Interpol agents command warships and jet fighters to chase arms dealers, knock yourself out

  • i have actually bin in prison in Russia, because i took a picture of the border and i i brought it with me home,it was stricktly illegal and i didnt know that. So it seems unlikely that those American agents would have promision to enter an russian millitary base, specially if your american

  • Based on a true event doesn't mean it's going to be completely factual.

It just means they take the concept of arms dealing, a very real phenomena, and make their own story about it.

It's like you're expecting a 2 month old baby to walk, and then you're complaining because it doesn't.

  • LaRueDeeko, you made my my point. Thanks!

Basically, the movie "Lord of War" is full of shit. It distorts the facts so much, that is misleading. It;'s just another Hollywood fantasy movie involving intrigue and a romance with a hot babe!

  • That's what movies are.....it's for entertainment....and revenue.

If you want facts....watch a documentary, which is meant to be completely factual and expository.

  • Sorry LaRueDeeko, but contrary to your line of thinking, there are some Hollywood movies that represent the facts so realistically that almost appear to be documentaries. Albeit these realistic movies are the minority, still you find some of them that are quasi-documentaries. Take for instance "Black Hawk Down." That was a well researched and produced movie, quite adjusted to the actual event.

  • What do other movies have to do with anything?

Just because some 6 foot, 200lb men are in great shape, and are excellent boxers, doesn't mean that everyone man who is six feet tall and weighs 200 lbs has the same exact attributes.

The thing is, if you didn't like the movie, you never ever have to watch it again....ever.

You don't even have to look up youtube stuff about it and complain.

  • Shit! "Forgive" me for expressing my own opinion, master of the Universe. Will it make you feel good if I say, "You are right LaRueDeeko, you are such of genius!"

    Believe what you want!

  • Dude..your opinion is fine and dandy....

But you were making up facts about the movie....stuff you expect from it...that it doesn't claim to be.

Yes....it's not accurate....but it's not trying to be....it's just trying to be entertaining and make money.

  • "Whatever, dude"... That's not really me, but maybe you will get it.

  • seen it at least 10 times, loved all the music used in it

  • a lot of crap movies out today, but this one of the best movies of the 2000s for sure. i think al pacino should have played yuri orlov, b/c he would have had more depth, only problem is he is little too old

  • best movie and song ever

  • this movie was so awesome I loved it!! It inspired me to be the arms dealer I am today XD lol just kiding

  • Is anybody know the name of the song when is singing a woman in this movie?? pls

  • i think u mean, fade into you by mazzy star

  • Tahnk You very much :) Yes it's "Fade into You" thank You thanksssss kiss :))

  • hayatımın filmi......

  • :( .

  • großartiger Film!

  • The title of the song is the title of... the video...

  • Nevermind, I found it. It's called Warlord by Antonio Pinto if I'm not mistaken :)

    Thanks

  • What's the name of this song? I must know!

I have to say, this is one of the greatest movies with a very strong message. Nicolas Cage deserves more credit in my opinion ... He seems to be too underestimated. Oh well.

  • Absolutely beautiful music.

  • Great song!

The film is also very good!

I'm searching a good site about Lord of War.

Can anybody give me a good site?

  • de loin mon film préféré (meme devant pulp fiction)

    saisissant de réalisme

    ++++++

    tnx :)

  • hallelujah, jeff buckley

  • who is jeff buckley, mate !!!

  • hallelujah, jeff buckley

  • Thats the secret to survival never go to war espically with yourself.

The most truest and moving ending line ever.

  • I really liked the movie as it just tells the truth, the really sad truth. This song alone is just the sadness itself..

  • I love how the guitar tones create a vaguely unsettling tone...sort of like what you might expect from a crime movie...it vaguely reminds me of Silent Hill, though there's some big differences there.

  • Its not the ending song.

The ending song is called Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah!

But youre right, its one of the best movies iver ever seen. It depends on the truth.

  • Lord of war is a movie everyone has to see

It depicts the truth behind the arms trade

This was a great ending song

  • you all pay 800 a year for the uk government to produce weapons and sell them to countries like zimbawve to create war and then the UK government sends aid to the countries?! dilema?! dont always believe what you read or see

  • No it's called hypocritsm.
