ah!!! the good old mega drive days, playing sonic 1 for hours, my opinion the Europe versions musics sound a lot better then the 60hz version,

Since you couldn't spin dash in Sonic 1, I think the laid back attitude works in these tracks. Sonci had no idea he was in for over 20 years of Robotnik/Eggman fighting. The fast music works fine, but the lovely classic music sounds so much better. This is true 1991 Sonic. Not any of this Generations stuff played at 12,000 beats per minute.

@13AxelRoxas PAL (Europe, Australia) runs a 50hz (slower), while NTSC (Japan, America, Canada) runs at 60hz (faster). I actually perfer this over the US version, I think it fits better and is more relaxing.

I like it how you can actually hear the songs better in this version, but sometimes a little slow. the Japan version sounds like its the original, but because its quicker sometimes repeatitive. I like both versions in a way

This song from the european version is okay. The slowed down part gives this a more peaceful feel than North America is used to (due to this being faster in the US version). All the other european version music I just don't get why they're slower.
