  • the constellation was not at the Pan Am but at the TWA

  • Nice Video, i love this Plane a classic.

Looks so real, and than over New York, you have a taste for old style.

Go on, nice Work, thumbs up.

  • Nice job on the Video

  • caros00 i'm still here !!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

  • excellent, and after all this time you still watch the clip over and over, when I made this clip in 2004 there was no youtube, that came a year later. I just wish I had more time to make some more clips.

Glad you are still here !!!!!!!!!

  • usually i watch the video and play the drums along with the song! what did you think about the plane landing in the hudson river?

  • Outstanding display of flying skill and some clever quick thinking.

Sorry for the delay in replying

  • i'm still here, carsos00

  • Well, after all this time you're still watching this, I'm glad you you still do............how times have you seen this now?.

    thanks again.

  • sorry for the typos.........how many times.....glad you still..........

damn this typing and beer at the same time.

  • still lovin' this video

  • patrick9 just to let you know that youtube have blocked some of my videos that used music.....so this one may be OK, I think there is a law that once the song/tune is 50 years old the copyright changes....if the video is blocked I'll send you a link to download it

  • still diggin' this song and video!!!!!

  • which addon is this?

  • Which addon is this? addon used in fs9 i think was active cam (outside flyby shots), captured on frapps, edited in studio 9 with sepia then old film filters.

  • no i meant the aircraft model

  • Sorry but I can't remember what one I used, the Lockheed Constellation used was one a friend sent my a link for, that was about 5 years ago

  • Love this song and love the video. I live in Abq! But also lived in Cal and use to go to the Route 66 Party in San Berdo! And Abq has restored nicely Route 66! Thanks for the memories!

  • dont mean to sound like a broken record but i luv this video!!!!!!!!

  • I,m glad you can watch it over and over and still enjoy it..

  • Brilliant! Please don't take this off the site.

  • im in love with a girl named tara, such a great name!!!

  • Glad you like the clip but what makes you think I would take it off youtube?.

  • Because someone posted this song and after I had favourited it, he/she removed it. And that wasn't the first case of the same thing happening, so I've become a bit nervous about my favourite songs now.

  • when the song was removed, was the message removed by used or due to coptright infringement the clip has be removed?. If it was the latter then I will remove any text referance the artists name and song title. Please let me know, asap

  • I'm sorry but I'm not really sure. I one day went to my favourite songs list looking for the video of Route 66 I'd favourited, and it was gone - I searched for the video but was met with 'nothing found ...'. The same thing happened with a couple of other songs I had favourited as well. This is aside from the usual blocking of a video by a record company but in those instances the video is only blocked from access,it does not completely disappear from YouTube.

  • p. s. it was great to see pan am back in the sky. thanx again for taking the time to explain it !!!!!!!!!!

  • that was awesome!!how did u do that!??

ps you combined 2 of my favorite things -

    airplanes and that song!!!1

  • Thanks for the positive comments,

As to how I made the video, it was done about 4 or 5 years ago so I'll try and keep it short.

    Programs Used;

FS9 with external tower viewer add-on installed (for fly by shots).

    Frapps (screen capture).

    Pinnacle studio 9.

  • Did flight and saved it, loaded saved flight and play back flight and captured in frapps, do this a few times and get different views of the same flight. Edited in studio 9 to match music length and cuts timed with music, once this was done then added video FX (black and white, sepia and old film).

Sadly the master copy was deleted some time ago to make room for other things, the youtube quality version is not that good.

  • And all topped of with a classic Nelson Riddle and his Orchestra's route 66 tv theme that captures that era perfectly.

    Glad you liked it.

p.s. and I said I'd keep it short....!

  • WOW, it looks very great!!! 5*
