These Caddys love a mid 70's Monte Carlo bumper for the front. It bolts right on with the Monte shocks and is strong as hell. Do something to help out at the steering box/pitman arm if you can, they like to bend there and you'll lose steering.
Demolition mission guys there is a derby coming uP in august in Lima Ohio at the Allen county fair ground if u are interested send me an email would like too see what u guys could do o and the derby is at the end of august... Thanks.
still love the vids guys. i just picked up a 1995 caddy today for our derby. just wondering do you guys run front brakes only? in case back lines are broke you dont lose all the fluid.
@carminefast77 Everyone on our team does it different. Depends on your driving style. I only use rear, chris only uses fronts and kyle uses whatever works on the car.
@DemolitionMissions lol i like kyles style. i do the just the basic to pass tech. i will never win. but as long as i can put out one of the guys with $1500 car that they went down south to get and put a 500 hp motor in. than im happy.
Mitch, you should bulid an 03 and up if your rules allow it, weld in craddle and all. Show everybody how its done. Im sure you can do it, I bet you have read the o3 and up thread 10 times by now.
@drinferno666 haha, I'm read about everything 3 times by now. But yes, I do want to build and 03+ sometime. Just gotta find a place with rules I like.
and im running an 89 Caddy in about 3 weeks for our winter derby, Were entering it into the full weld class any suggestions on some places to add some metal and welds?
i have experience with these caddies take the front bumper off and flip it upside down it will raise it about 3 inches and block more of the radiator, the back is just like a caprice chain the frame together so it cant spread and hit the wheels this way it can only go in to the center and once they meet in the middle it becomes a battering ram what size motor is in this car, i used the caddy 425 big block and had issues with over heating thats what there known for but they have alot of torque

Where's your back up hand throttle? Just a a piece of baling wire from the carb. to someplace you can grab and tug by hand.

@braidengodfrey1 Do some work to the rear and get it to pack in. Add hump plates if allowed.
