This is my favorite movie. Someone the other day asked what part of Oregon I am from, and I said 'All of me!" ..he looked at me like I was an idiot. haha
@welshman40sw two peas in a pod is one of the funniest things I ever saw or heard. I've been laughing at that for 50 years! The way Stanley say's pod after they turn the lights out is outrageously funny!!!
@MrWomanish the boys shouldn't have lied. it was still a funny scene when the police escorted them to there front door & they pretended to act sad. shiphiked ? thanks for writing. it's always nice to hear from fellow fans.
Truly wonderful. I have the colourised film and it does enhance this scene a lot. I am a member of the Sons of the Desert, and we had a visit to our meeting by a largish group of foreign students. We showed this film and it brought the house down.
Wonderful song (the number of times I've watched Sons of...!!!) but... Ms Charita and her dancers is it? - thanks - I'll go see if I can find more of them! - cus in this clip it's the way these girls move that's sending shivers through me! Brrr
All I've ever read about Ty Parvis was that he was Betty Grable's dance partner before she was a big star. I'd love to see a clip of them performing together from that period, but it's likely that their work was in vaudeville and not on film. Usually Hal Roach's performers appeared in more than just one of his pictures; I wonder if there are other sightings of Ty.
She is hot!

Mr.Ty Parvis sing the tune"Honolula Baby!"..while
Ms.Charita and her dancers struck their stuff on the dance
floor of that 1930's Chicago,Ill.speakeasy..which is really a
Hal Roach Studios' soundstage.
