I'm just wondering, I dont have a horse of my own but when you ride botless do you have to buy a new bridle? I know its sounds obvious but I'm just curious. And also, can you ride bitless with all horses or do they have to be trained first?

@Ellieslittleworld334 well you can buy a new bridle, but I don't really have any money so I just be creative and make stuff. Well I believe that every horse can be ridden bitless, but with some horses it takes longer. But then again if you have a good communication with your horse you should be able to ride with anything. I have never had problems with going from bit to bitless with my last 3 horses. I could even ride my welsh pony with a neckrope only a month after buying her.

@Ellieslittleworld334 I think it's also a matter of trust. If I ride a horse bitless, I have to trust and know that horse. And I think you also have to know what you are doing to a certain level. In my experience I have learned that you just have to feel the situation and do what you think is best. :)

@SuperRedpony I have tonnes of compassion for Babba, not Lotte. when her horse was laying dead in a feild she was more worried about video taping it. I don't blame lotte anymore anyways... I've come to the conclusion that her parents, and if she does have some kind of horse trainer, are responsible. Lotte is just a kid like me, only differance is that I can see when a horse is dying. I wouldnt ride the horse while it was dying. AND I wouldn't be concerned about video taping when its dead.

Yes it really does, when i ride Loka with a bit he's always rearing and being very nervous all the time.

When i ride bitless he is quite relaxed and hardly ever rears, i feel safer too.

well i personally think it's a bit of a waste of money.

Not that theres anything wrong with it ;)

I ride with a rope halter witch i think is one of the best bridles.

It's light and handy, the horse hardly feels it until you use it and you dont need to change from a bridle to a halter because it's basicly both :P

I am thinking about bying a sidepull, cuz me and my friend are going wannabe western style XD

I steer with neck reining anyway :P
