  • can you learn to play keyboards by reading guitar books to gain playing out of that?

  • How can I learn to play at your skill? Do I have to learn how to read music?

  • @thedcmule Well, I had to take years of lessons and practice. And I chose to learn to read music.

  • @thedcmule I use guitar tabs to play keyboard/synths,just use shred books from guitars and you'll be awesome,if you know the basics of where the notes are on a keyboard and can read music then your good to go

  • very nice love the portemento on that first lick.tastey pitch and mod wheeel work play on oh my brother play on

  • I love the arpeggiated chords at 1:20 - 2:00. What progression is going on there? Sounds so sweet!!

  • I love the arpeggio at 1:20, what chord progression is that? It sounds so sweet!! You're king!

  • One of these is living at my place right now. I've had to run the note calibration on it twice in about 4 days. Drifted 50 cents flat. I read in the manual that they may require time to acclimatize to a new environment though?

  • They do, but if the temperature is stable it shouldn't drift that much. See if it holds.

  • How do you calibrate it?

  • I wish i had the money for that synth, those are the sounds im looking for

  • Buy mine for $1100

  • a shame, that the first edition with the wooden casing seen on this vid is no longer available...

  • I think they made 1400 of them - a limited edition. They pop up on ebay now and then.

  • ya i was so mad about that, not that ill be able to afford one of these any time soon...but i love the vintage look of the wooden casing

  • if you go to the Moog music forums (specifically the Little Phatty forum), there are people there who have had custom wooden sides made for their Little Phattys. They could point you in the right direction if you really wanted wooden sides for your L. P., or if the lack of wooden sides was one of the only things holding you back from buying one.

  • Spray the grey panels brown lol

  • I'm saving money for this cool thing! could you recommend this synth to me? I'm thinking to buy one in the USA and not in Europe? better or not?

  • At the price it goes for compared to other analog synths it seems like a good deal.

  • Don't forget Prophet 08, which has even better price performance ratio, for an analog synth.

I love mine - still, I think LP is also worth having! I've played it couple of times, pure analog sound and fun!

  • Cheaper in Australia mate

  • Damn bro!! You are NASTY at the moog

  • thanks

  • The piece from 2:01 onwards is yummy

  • at around 1:50 do you have a slow lfo assigned to cutoff? or is it some other effect on your mx200

  • I love this video, feel like it's the best collection of sounds of all 4 demos. Nice mastery of the pitch bend wheel!

This seems like exactly the keyboard I want...

  • its the third sound that really hits the spot for me. That really warm soft brass sound..

i miss my voyager ..boo hoo sob etc ;-)

  • Cool moog bass sound

  • Hello wizrd, good play! What preset was that second sound derived from?

  • Thanks, that's actually one of my own concoctions.

  • you're my hero

i'm getting a job this summer so i can buy a little phatty

i've wanted a moog for so long

  • man... love the key that the first jam is in. I gotta pick up piano classes again. impressive!

  • why wouldn't you learn in it classical piano lessons? is it too Egyptian-sounding to be considered classical?

  • that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. The harmonic minor scale was created for classical music. Most of the classical pieces in the 18th Century were written in harmonic minor.

  • lol. it's not even c harmonic minor. notice the Db. and the E natural... i'd say it's more like C phyrigian dominant.

  • This is the special Tribute edition, which cost about $1350. The sounds in these videos are typically edited presets. The only sampler I have is software - MOTU's MachFive2, but I don't use it much.

  • Inspiring !

  • lol sweet tone

  • the first patch you play reminds me of the music from the Megaman X games. This would be megaman in India. :) great demo

  • Your hands flow like oil on that Phatty!

  • he aint no slohand :D

  • I have been enjoying your #1 and #2 LP videos and I'm VERY glad to see #3 and #4! This moog sounds excellent in your hands and I probably won't be able to resist getting one of those :-)

  • Nice videos, enjoying them! But you should release some of your own music instead of wasting your skills like this on the net.

  • great!! what a toy!!
