@thedcmule I use guitar tabs to play keyboard/synths,just use shred books from guitars and you'll be awesome,if you know the basics of where the notes are on a keyboard and can read music then your good to go
One of these is living at my place right now. I've had to run the note calibration on it twice in about 4 days. Drifted 50 cents flat. I read in the manual that they may require time to acclimatize to a new environment though?
if you go to the Moog music forums (specifically the Little Phatty forum), there are people there who have had custom wooden sides made for their Little Phattys. They could point you in the right direction if you really wanted wooden sides for your L. P., or if the lack of wooden sides was one of the only things holding you back from buying one.
that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. The harmonic minor scale was created for classical music. Most of the classical pieces in the 18th Century were written in harmonic minor.
This is the special Tribute edition, which cost about $1350. The sounds in these videos are typically edited presets. The only sampler I have is software - MOTU's MachFive2, but I don't use it much.
I have been enjoying your #1 and #2 LP videos and I'm VERY glad to see #3 and #4! This moog sounds excellent in your hands and I probably won't be able to resist getting one of those :-)
can you learn to play keyboards by reading guitar books to gain playing out of that?

How can I learn to play at your skill? Do I have to learn how to read music?
thedcmule 9 months ago
@thedcmule Well, I had to take years of lessons and practice. And I chose to learn to read music.

They do, but if the temperature is stable it shouldn't drift that much. See if it holds.

I'm saving money for this cool thing! could you recommend this synth to me? I'm thinking to buy one in the USA and not in Europe? better or not?
Synthdude13 3 years ago
At the price it goes for compared to other analog synths it seems like a good deal.
vontetzianos 3 years ago
Don't forget Prophet 08, which has even better price performance ratio, for an analog synth.
I love mine - still, I think LP is also worth having! I've played it couple of times, pure analog sound and fun!

I love this video, feel like it's the best collection of sounds of all 4 demos. Nice mastery of the pitch bend wheel!

its in c harmonic minor which is something you wont learn with classical piano lessons
mongobongoman 4 years ago
why wouldn't you learn in it classical piano lessons? is it too Egyptian-sounding to be considered classical?

lol. it's not even c harmonic minor. notice the Db. and the E natural... i'd say it's more like C phyrigian dominant.

Nice videos, enjoying them! But you should release some of your own music instead of wasting your skills like this on the net.
