  • Oh, marry me please... ♥

  • Wasn't around

  • The ONLY thing wrong with gel eyeliner is that it went around when I was 20. I love the stuff!

  • @Naktsmeita oooo! thanks :D i'll try to look out for it. I'm from singapore see, and i don't think we have that brand here ): but thanks for the tip! ^^

  • @leex2ma omg I have the same problem! I'm still trying to find one that won't smudge on me ):

  • @paradeofmasks essence gel eyeliner. its affordable and you just cant get it off !

  • I've used waterproof and smudge proof pencil, gel, and liquid liners and it always smudges for my when line my waterline. Nothing I've done so far has prevented it from smudging. Yes, I have gone over it with powder to set it and it always fails. Help! What am I doing wrong?? Or what can I do to prevent it from happening.

  • ahhh...the wink gets me every time :)

  • Makeup knowledge + sexy, adorable man = My future kids dad

  • @MissMarshkroonla loooooooooooooooool

  • Wow! Thanks for the tip=) I've been looking for a good eye liner that stays on, so I'm probably going to try the Bobbi Brown gel liner. Can't wait!

  • You are just a peach! I've been hooked to you for several weeks now! I just found out I'm pregnant and have had horrible nausea, but you and that smile make it all better! (wave and wink)

  • i think gel eyeliners smudges like crazy!!!! well for me its soo annoying... any ways to prevent the smudging ???

  • @OhhDragonbaby You could set it with black eyeshadow? That always works for me. :)

  • @diamondfaye i don't recall him ever saying he was gay . don't make assumptions

  • married? don't you realize that he's gay????

  • To clean, get some eye makeup remover on a Q-tip and gently take it off. Thats how i do it though!!

  • Thank you for the tip! I have been using pencil liners for the waterline and I always have to keep reapplying it. So I kept changing eyeliners pencils to see if I could find one that would last longer. So glad I don't have to do that anymore

  • great tip!

  • I use bobbi brown.. yeah it's stay for a day long but it smudges.. I mean after one hour my lower lid will get black although I only use the eyeliner on my upper lid.. It makes me look like I have dark circles. Any idea how to solve that?

Oh anyway a bit of tip, don't buy MAC gel liner.. It's dry before it finished..

(sorry for not so good english, hope u understand what I mean)

  • @ShiraKun set it in with a matte eyeshadow

  • I am using the Laura Mercier Tight Liner in Black. Love it! Thanks Wayne for the great videos!

  • woww now I believe in love at first sight..Are you marriedddd?????!

  • I've been wanting to try a gel liner. With all the benefits you've said, I definitely will. I love your video as always!

  • I had to replay the video twice because your flawless face kept distracting me ;p

  • For some reason I love the way he talks; like the left side of his mouth is dominant in the movements :p

  • Goss your a legend.... But is you going to get into trouble for telling the secrets of the make up world???

  • wow, amazing

  • From seeing all these comments, I'm guessing I have deep set eyes? I use Maybelline Eye Studio (Espresso colored), and I put it on before I go to school every morning. But by noon, it's smudged! Is it the brand, should I get a different brand? Which of these works for people with deep set eyes? Heellpp.

  • @JoeAdamJonasIsLove I recently got a Stila waterproof eyeliner stick in my Birchbox, I put it on my hand to display and when I went to wipe it off it didn't budge! This might be a good option for you I will see if I can display my review vid!

  • @JoeAdamJonasIsLove i highly recommend you to buy a MAC one..

  • i love when real MUA are on youtube! i've learned so much from you! now i'm in school getting my certification to be a pro!

  • Hi, do you know if you can use he clinique one on the water line?

  • Thank you! I've been trying to explain this to people too...but it seems like they are afraid of using the brush when they use a gel liner D: Personally, I love it, and feel like I get a smoother application with a brush.

  • hey Wayne your vids are becoming shorter and shorter -.-'

  • is there any Korean brand gel eyeliner you'd recommend?

  • ENTER ME :)!

  • would any of those brands that you mentioned transfer onto contact lenses? Thats always a problem

  • hi wayne. that little baby you held up looks like it'd be great for me to use in the waterline instead of a stark white pencil. was that face atilier?? xoxo

  • Duh

  • Great advice. Lining the waterline with ease. It also looks more natural. Thanks!

  • How do you find out if a product is ok to use in the waterline? I am currently loving the MUFE cream eyeliners and was just curious. Thanks, Kellye :)

  • Hi I tried this and it works great. I find that if you run a clean cotton bud along the water line first it gets rid of any moisture and the gel liner goes on better. Thanks for you vids.

  • Hi... New subscriber to your videos. I think your tips and advice are great. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Happy 2012 !! :)

  • I tried this with Bobby Brown black gel liner and I used the smudge tip of the other end of an eye liner. It is a brilliant idea. It hasn't moved at all where my usual soft MAC eye liner pencil smudges like mad. I use Boots own brand eye make up remover to take it off. Around £1.40, it is the best make up remover I ever used. One small dot takes off all your eye make up. Thanks for amazing tips.

  • Hi Wayne, I love your videos because they're straight to the point. You give your advise and I move on to try and. Best of all they all work! Today I do my makeup much better because of that.

Sweet and to the point. I love it.

  • Hi Wayne, do u know if Mac's gel liner is safe to use on the waterline? Thanx x

  • @saffymouse1 it is.

  • @saffymouse1 i think i remember him saying in another video that theyre not meant to be used on the waterline but you can at your own risk :p

  • Has anyone tried the Topshop Liner?? I have it and I think it's pretty good, but I wondered if anyone had a comparison??

  • So then how would you get waterproof gel liner off the inner rim of your eye? D: I would think make-up remover would sting like a bitch if it got in your eyes..

  • Thanks again for a great tip. Liner is still a trick for me just learning at 50

  • Thanks for the tip! :) Also, I love your videos & the wink at the end is super cute.

  • 사랑해요 ♡

  • love your tips and trick you say it like it is! Also love the ;) wink at the end of all your videos !

  • I love, love, love your videos! ;)

  • is the urban decay one ok to use in the waterline??? and how do i apply it there?

  • What kind of brush do you use to apply the gel liner to your waterline and above your top eyelashes? thanks

  • i love it

  • Thank you! I messaged you about this and I always get immediate replies! I love how you mentioned the bobby brown gel liner was great, I'm going to purchase that one right after I finish my sephora cream liner :)

  • what about the MAC gelliner? aren't they waterproof?

  • I agree with you, I'd never tried gel liner on my water line until recently, but the depth of colour and the longevity was just amazing compared to the black pencil I'd normally use there.

  • How safe is it, relatively speaking, to be applying makeup products to the waterlines (both upper and lower?) Ditto on asking for your recommendations on how to best remove the product. This was extremely helpful (since as you pointed out, most products just wear off very quickly). Thank you for your wonderful WayneGossNess!

  • this is really helpful

  • what brush is best for gel eyeliner?

  • Wayne, would you please tell how to safely clean the eyeliner from the rim of the eyes and with what? I really appreciate it. I haven't used anything there because I didn't know how to safely remove it and not sting my eyes. I hope you get this message

  • @zaikamoya you can try mixing equal parts olive oil and alcohol free witchhazel and then using a q-tip for a natural option :) worked for me, just try a bit to see that you are not allergic to anything in the mix though.

  • @PimpJuguito thanks for the reponse, I'll have to try your suggestion and see how it goes. No news is good news

  • @zaikamoya I personally use olive oil and dilute it with water. About 3 parts water and 1 part of oil. You want to shake it before using, it separates quickly Your vision may be a little hazy but it's natural so it won't cause harm. I use that technique for removing all eye makeup. Hoped I helped!

  • @candyisc00l I'll surely give it a shot. It does sound more natural.

  • @zaikamoya I have the same question! The next morning I have black under my lower lashes from it.

  • @zaikamoya I agree i would LOVE to know this. As well, what kind of brush would you reccommend for those eyeliners? i find my Mac 210 doesnt work well with the bobby brown black ink...

  • @zaikamoya You want to use an oil based makeup remover. The best makeup remover that I have tried is Lancome's BiFacil remover, it is amazing! Completely safe to use on the eye and on the waterline, whatever, if it gets on your cornea, no problem.

  • @zaikamoya- I have a tip to removing the eyeliner from waterlines. I take a q tip, put some water on it, dab some of the water off now. Keep it more on the watery side than dry (you don't want to dry your eyes out!), then you put the q tip in between your eyes, close your eyes on the q tip, and work the q tip back and forth with your eyes closed, VERY gently. If it hurts, your pressing too hard. I'm not him, I know, but I hope I helped! :]

  • @zaikamoya i found that using coco butter/ non-scented lotion on a tissue really works well and also removes the liner from the crease under your eyes. im not a professional but it does work well. just a tiny tiny drop to moisten the tissue.

  • i love when he winks his eye XD

  • As always, I listen and learn...went to Atelier Paris yesterday and had a wonderful time buying not only the waterproof liner but lots of brushes, shadows, contiur blush, etc. thanks Wayne!!

  • Thanks for the tip. It quiet useful :)

  • i got the bobbi brown gel liner but when i tried to line my eyes with it it wouldn't go on...why?

  • @gossmakeupartist Hi Wayne, do you know if I can use MAC Fluidline in the inner rim and waterline of my eye? I use this gel eyeliner and have never used it on my waterline. Thank you!

  • @inaj1986 I have the same product and tried it on the inner rim for the first time just yesterday!! Works like a charm! The gel didn't smudge one bit even after nine hours of wearing and didn't irritate my eyes either. I'll never use kohl eyeliner on my inner rims again, that's for sure! :) Thaaanks, Wayne Goss! Your makeup help is priceless!

  • i love your channel

  • Just subscribed, new to YouTube... Thank you for your helpful advice. Pass love

  • love that tip. I use mufe kohl pencil to line the inner rim, then layer it with a gel liner.

  • Wayne, what is the BEST waterproof eyeliner on the market?? I've tried everything!!! Bobbi Brown, MAC, Giorgio, Chanel, Dior, Urban, MUFE, LM, Tarte, Stila... name it, I've tried it. Nothing for my waterline stays put!

  • xxxxxxx

  • <3 me some gel liners everyday staple for me!!

  • HAPPY 300th VIDEO!! :D

  • love ya!

  • Hi Goss, when I line my upper eyelid with my elf cream liner, it transfers up to my eyelid and crease area. Is this a common problem? Is it a result of my cheap product or my deeper set eyes?

  • @scifiwinkwink you need to set it with powder and let it dry!

  • @scifiwinkwink cause of the cheap product. if u get MAC fluidline or the clinque gel one, it wont fall.

  • @scifiwinkwink also set with eyeshadow powder; helps last longer.

  • @scifiwinkwink You should set it with an eyeshadow. It's still a nice eyeliner. I use it often, but since it is a cheap product, the quality isn't as good. I use the sephora cream eyeliners and it's only $10 and has a good quality to them

  • @scifiwinkwink Its doesn't for my its probally your deep set eyes

  • @scifiwinkwink You should try to use eye primer to keep your liner from budging.

  • @scifiwinkwink My advice is if you aren't already, try applying eye primer before hand. If that doesn't work try applying some powder to your lids as well before you apply the liner.

  • @scifiwinkwink It's a common problem! ;((( #fail

  • @scifiwinkwink The same thing happens to me and i have the bobbi brown gel liner ! so i think its because of the shape of ur eyes

  • @scifiwinkwink from all the responses...i guess i have deep set eyes lol

  • @scifiwinkwink Maybe common but I only get it when I use too much eye cream, OR don't put a powder base on my eyelid, OR I open my eyes too wide while the liner is still wet. Are you using a shadow base? That could help. Then powder with a neutral to absorb oil and help with the blending of the shadow. I haven't used elf, but Bobbi Brown's gels are great - lots of colors. Mac has one cheaper but not so many colors - haven't used it, but heard it compares with BB.

  • @scifiwinkwink You need a good eye primer. Try Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. it's brilliant, and sticks ELF cream liner so it doesn't budge for the whole day.

  • Thankyou for doing random tip videos keeps me in check and inspires me to go back to my makeup and give products another try. I moved on to encil for a while... but didnt like it going away... now i know what to do. :-)

  • HI! Thanks for the tip--HOPEFULLY YOU can ANSWeR this QUESTION- or if ANYONE can-- ***ARE GEL eyeliners the same as CREAM eyeliners?*** THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love & Light to you all!! I LOVE MY YOUTUBE FRIENDS!!!!!!!!

  • how can I email him?

  • I can't wait to try this. Are there any less expensive drug store brands to try out?

  • @aklavine I use maybelline's eye studio gel liner, it's relatively cheap and works really well! It also comes with a good brush.

  • @aklavine Wet n Wild is $3 I love it ...

  • i love gel eyeliner, but even better than gel are the liquid last liners by mac! that's just my opinion. although they can't be applied on the water line, i don't think.

  • I always do this like this way. Its perfect. ♥

  • Bought my first gel liner this weekend and LOVE it! I, at 51, still have oily skin. Besides general fading, when I smile (which I like to do ; ) my eye pencil liners just smudge and I end up looking like I've been on the losing end of a fist fight! Thank you for the tip and and tricks and knowledge. I'll keep watching!

  • @JohnnyBeatstee You sound under 15, your opinion doesn't matter lol.

  • does anyone know if mac would be safe for someone with sensitive eyes?

  • I love your videos. Thumbs up!

  • This is the video I wish I saw a lifetime ago! I've always been told with my eyes I would look good lining the waterline (like my friends did!) and whenever I did it, it would dissappear in seconds. You could literally watch it - in 3 blinks it would be gone. I wish they would have made gel back when I was younger! Now I'm old - sigh! - and although my eyes still look good, I think I'm past the prime to wear my eyeliner like that.

  • Excited to try this!

  • I live in a very hot and humid place, and I find that even if I use gel liner it smudges and runs during the day. Any tips for that?
