This is an interesting attempt to introduce an aspect of historical swordsmanship to modern sport fencing, do you have any similar plans for other aspects of historical european swordsmanship? Olympic style two-handed longword fencing would also be very interesting to watch.
why not keep the linear movements? An experienced fencer should be able to take advantage of someone opening themselves up when they circle. Researching some rapier and dagger might help as well.
This is a slap in the face to any REAL Olympic fencers. "Dagger fencing" is a monstrosity.
