  • Whoa! Thanks so much! :D You're AH-MAZING!!!! I'm going to make a few of these for my mom for Christmas! I'm going to make some green ones 'cause that's her favorite color :D I'll bet she'll love them!

  • YOU ARE AMAZING.

  • Thank you for makin this video:)

  • Muchas gracias!!! Tu explicación es muy clara. Saludos :)

  • thank you!:)

  • Really Nice ! Aww i wanted to see that leapord one, but you didnt show it :( Your video is absolutley awesome unlike the others most of the ones i have watched are 'Crotchet' or something but i really dont like them, and your video is the only one ive come across so far with this kind of material. Thanks so much i LOVE them. Is it better using the hardish lighter material orn the more heavier material?

    Thanks

  • @TheOceanLiife Thanks for watching my video! For scrunchies practically any material works. I just use pieces of leftover material from my sewing projects. I have used jersey knits as well as stiff blue jean denim and other weaved materials. I prefer stretchy knits because it gives extra hold together with the rubber band. But that is just my preference. Experiment!

  • You are amazing! Seriously, your videos are so easy to follow and understand! Just one question: I am a little unclear on how to make the scrunchie 'scrunchier' like with more poofiness. Could you explain?

  • @redcherrycupcake Hi. Thanks for watching! You don´t really have to do anything to make it "poofier" other than use a longer piece of fabric . The longer and wider the piece of fabric, the more it gathers up around the rubberband so it poofs bigger.

  • this is awesome! i love it.. tq.

  • great video!

  • thanks great vid haha i laughed when you asked if the camera was one and when you turned the machine off by accident..youre cute! :)

  • I have made like 20 of these I wear them in my bun at dance

  • Yay!

  • i like that. its very interesting.

  • Hey mama, can you please show us how to make a woman's nightgown from cotton fabric. i found some at wal-mart for 2.00 a yard and it's perfect for a night gown. oh...hun... looks like your dress is inside out..lol how cute :) love ya!!

  • That is a good idea! A nightgown video. I have so many videos I would like to do and keep getting sidetracked.

  • hi! i liked your ideas but thought that scrunchies are out of style now. you might find this funny but did you know if you wear a scrunchy in new york people will give you the evil eye...lol fashion no no for certain. any other ideas for using scraps? i want to make a wall hanging with the 200 lbs of scraps that i have and need some inspiration. what else do you make? you are a good teacher, would love to learn from you. btw...

  • I had heard that scrunchies were "out" but they are so comfortable and useful that I figure they will be back "in" again SOME day! Scraps are good for patchwork quilts. Some people are actually willing to BUY scraps, try the web page ETSY to see if you can sell them.

  • thts so cool! i wanted to buy some scrunchies but now i can make them lol :P thanks! very helpful.

  • that was verry good.. i think im getting for christ =mass this year a sowin mashin. im going to try that.. thats good for me cause i never have a ponytall to hold my hair..

  • How I used to do this: I would fold the fabric long ways and sew it, making a long tube, then I used elastic, or a cut ruber band, and feed it through, and tie it a few times at the end, then hand sew the fabric together at the end, it turns out looking pretty much the same, I just find it a bit easer the way I used to do it.

  • thnakyou! i have been looking for how to make a scrunchie for so long! they are so expensive in australia, so this is good:)

    thanks

  • muy bien explicado y gracias por los susbtitulos en español saludos

  • wow that was nice

    Clearly explained

    thnk you for sharing...

  • I like it. Thank you. Now I dont have to spend much money on on them anymore :P

  • thanks

  • Wow that was great, I make these too, but I use elastic instead of rubber bands. We in the USA pronounce centimeters differently, but you sound like you have a US accent where did you grow up?

  • I actually was born and raised in New York, then I moved around the States for a few years and my New York accent got warped and now having lived in Argentina for six years I am even starting to develop a Spanish accent when I speak inglish.
