  • Your playing is sweet. God gives us some powerful gifts. Amen

  • It's awesome you mentioned dave weckl i got my double bass pedal from him from one of his clinics it's the yamaha DFP9500C and i use the woven nylon strap instead of the chain, smooth as butter

  • lmao that smile at 1:16 is money

  • I love his face at 1:16.. :)

  • Hey Jerohn. Thank you for the lessons. I love the sound of that fluttering bass drum. Its got great attack. Reminds of some Tony Royster jr.. What mics did you use, how/where were they setup?

  • say the right note values on there bro. if the hi hat is the quarter note pulse then you were doing. eighth notes, eighth note triplets, to 16th notes. killer stuff anyways tho.

  • @insanedrummer89 edit: You're right. 8th, 8th note triplets,16ths.

  • What drums and micas are being used?! They sound SO nice

  • @LearningDrummerSam DC California custom drums. Two SM58 over heads and SM81 in front of the set.

    :D nice drumming btw..

  • how did you get such a nice sound without mics ?

  • @MrShafiWH Awesome gear, awesome drummer. You don't need more than that.

  • @MrShafiWH

He's got a couple overhead mics plus a condenser. You just don't really see em' too much :P

  • Yo brother, is'int that 8th note and 8th note tripulet and 16th note.. You said it was 8th note 16th note tripulet and 32nd note.. The exersize which you did between the kick and the floor.. But this exersize really works, i keep doin it.. :)

  • It is 1/8 note triplets instead of 1/16 note. I don't think he caught on to what he was saying. Lol! If ya'll notice though, his foot is a beast.

  • It is 1/8 note triplets instead of 1/16 note. I don't think he caught on to what he was saying. Lol!

  • What is your approach on tuning?

  • what is the tension of your pedals man ? max tight or max loose

  • hi hat does straight four and u go eights 16s 32nds between foot and hand while keeping staright time with the left

  • 1:16 my bad.... the look and the smile rofl

  • 1:17 lol the look....

  • I worked it out folks. You have to play the 1/8 th note triplets(not 16th note one) but make the bass from play four against 3. There's a bit more to this lick than this dude has explained. I love his playing noe the less and even if you have some of your theory wrong, you have a great way of breaking the licks down.

  • @BlowDeBloodyDoorsOff hi hat goes 4 against 3, my mistake. Nice lick though. I love the way you give credit to Dave W. Always have the confidence to say 'I may play this lick my way, but I was inspired by someone else'.

  • Firstly, great playing and a great attitude dude. One thing, with respect, how can the triplets be 16th note triplets? A triplet occuies the space a single beat would occuy. So, 4 1/4 triplets equals 12 hits. a beat broken up in to 1/8 notes equals 6 triplets. If they are 1/16 note triplets, that would mean there's one triplet for every 1/16 note, that would give you 48 notes in a bar of 4/4. You ain't playing 48 hits my good man.

  • Oh my jesus, dude's foot is on sterioids...

  • amazing.. i never thought anyone could make that fast in the foot

  • I don't get how to do it. Can somebody explain it.

  • @ soultonecymbal how do i get endoreds with you guys

  • nice drums what brand ?

  • @fumangchero DC California Custom Drums

  • great drummer! subsribed now!

  • love those cymbals

  • @Originalsmokey The splash is 10" FXO

  • you guys should do more lessons with other gospel drummers like this

  • how in the hell u do the triplets at the end

dude my bass pedal wont allow

  • dude!!! your speed at the end was awesome, very inspirational thanks !

  • the work out at 3:00 is amazing

  • got another question: what china and crash are that stack? and how did you guys make it sound like that, instead of making it sound like a standard stacker sound?

  • @allmetaliswelcome The stack is prototype china over a Brilliant crash. There is no standard stacker sound. Stack is combination of any 2 cymbals so the sound can varies.

  • @soultonecymbal01 yea, but i mean like the crisp sound of for example mike portnoy's max stacks, which are allso chinas over crashes, and these you guys got sound like an awesome dark crash sound, you know?

  • @allmetaliswelcome well, when you have better cymbals you get this quality sound. it all start with which cymbals you stack.

  • is there any website that sells soultone cymbals?

  • @allmetaliswelcome

    cymbalismmusic com
