  • R.I.P. Walt Disney, he truely was a genius :)

Not to mention, I doubt he would let Miley Cyrus and Jonas Brothers anywhere near the Disney Channel ^_^

  • @MiCross94 so true

  • great subtle animation on that little bird! much respect to those original Disney guys

  • wow I new that was Julie Andrews

as Mary Poppins and playing charicters (Queen Clarice in Princess Diaries) in her older years

I just never made the connection

    DUH! lol

  • Definitely. I apologize. I didn't see it as rude at first. I'm a HUGE Jim Henson fan by the way.

  • Thanks for defending me muppetspuppets.

  • Like I said; I didn't mean to sound so harsh. I'm sorry about that. SOmetimes I don't pay attention to the tone my typing takes on. I'm sorry about that.

  • Its OK, don't worry about it.:-)

  • I could have sworn it was Jim Henson that pioneered animatronics. I did'nt realise how pretty Julie Andrews was.

  • You obviously don't know anything about Walt Disney.

Jim Henson invented the mobile animatronic puppet concept.

THat is completely different from the audio animatronics developed by Walt Disney's Imagineers. Actual animatronics characters are combinations of pneumatics and hydraulics and a programmed to run by themselves. Henson's characters were only radio and wire controlled puppets that used servos and bike brakes and can hardly be compared to audio animatronics.

  • And It's a Small World and Abe Lincoln had already premiered at the World's Fair before Jim Henson even had his first TV show. In fact ; I think Henson was still in High school when those attractions premiered. PIrates of the Caribbean was well under development at the time also and was simultaneously being developed with The Haunted Mansion. Pirates opened at Disneyland in 1967 and the it was long until 999 grim grinning ghosts got their day at the Haunted Mansion as well.

  • Well, that sure is me told!.

  • I didn't know that Walt Disney was the inventor of animatronic. Your videos are the best. I'll see them all. Thanks!!!! Fantastic!

  • That is cool.
