Following Jesus is a relationship - not a religion. No one surpasses Jesus.
He paid for all your sins so you can go to heaven and live forever in a brand new healthy body in a state of perpetual joy and an environment free of pain and evil. @lizazoon I find it funny that you seem to be convinced that God is anything like a human. "an ounce of gray matter" couldn't possibly apply to the God and Creator of the universe. We don't know how He works or what His will is. He gave us the Bible in its many translations so that we could ourselves find eternal life through a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with him. It's the fact that He loves "the accused" enough to offer them a chance for eternal life, even though we don't deserve it.

@DoubIeKiIl Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and dwell on the fine, good things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about.
Jesus never sinned, never told a lie, never answered back when insulted. When he suffered, he did not threaten to get even. He left his case in the hands of God who always judges fairly.
I will follow Jesus Christ - no matter what happens to me - forever. He is the BEST.

@aimekailyndelattre He chose to die on the cross because He loves us. His death paid for our sins and our healings. Our finite minds cannot comprehend such a magnificent sacrifice. "May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love and may you be able to feel and understand as all God's children should - how long, how wide, how deep and how high His love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully." Ephesians 3:17-19
@thankfultoGod A magnificent sacrifice? Jesus died on a cross. Many other humans have suffered FAR worse brutalities, tortures and emotional pain. What does he know of human suffering?
@ORAKAR He was beaten to the point of becoming unrecognizable. He was sinless. He took all the sins and sickness of the whole world - past, present and future - and as a result was temporarily separated from His Father. Our finite minds cannot conceive of the torture and emotional pain that He endured. All the sin of the world was poured into Him so that all the blessings of God could be poured into us. The GREATEST EVIL required the GREATEST SACRIFICE. If you want to know the TRUTH, you will.
@thankfultoGod and we as human being of sound conscious are to believe 2000 years ago this jesus came to save us from our un-ex capable fate that Eve - ONE person (but I hear there were many people on the earth at the time because if we all came from adam and eve we would all be stupid or whatever - that is a christian speaking) Why should we as human being have to believe in a savior that was 2000 years ago and the only proof we have today is a book that was thrown together
@Bojoe777NaBl by a bunch of people who we really dont have any idea about - So there have been chapters of the bible that have never been included in the actual bible? what? I thought that was gods word and that if we tamper with it we deserve eternal damnation - but if we do somehow hear about jesus christ and come to a point in our lives where we accept jesus we are all saved because our salvation is written in a book.. oh but if you commit suicide you lose it.. because.. yeaaah
@Bojoe777NaBl Through both archaeological evidences and other writings, the historical accounts of the Bible have been proven time and time again to be accurate and true. In fact, all the archaeological and manuscript evidence supporting the Bible makes it the best-documented book from the ancient world. There are also hundreds of specific and detailed prophecies that have come true. There are also millions of people who have experienced totally changed lives as a result of believing God's Word.
@thankfultoGod Oh, I feel terribly sorry for Him, I really do. It would have been horrible. But nothing in comparison to the sufferings of people during the Holocaust, or other major genocides. To see one's family slowly dying from starvation, to ingest fecal matter and be forced kill others to survive, to be brutally beaten daily. Jesus knew nothing of those pains.
Believe me, I am above all concerned with the truth. I've studied theology for years in an attempt to find it, but never have!
@ORAKAR Jesus received the sin and sickness of the entire world - past, present and future - into His body.
Then He descended into hell and set the prisoners free from there. He rose from the dead in His glorified body and appeared to hundreds of witnesses. This proved that He was victorious over satan and He accomplished what He came to the earth to accomplish. He fulfilled all the prophecies about Himself with perfect accuracy.
He is either God or a liar or a lunatic. Billions say He is God.
@thankfultoGod oh its good to know people who don't believe in jesus christ before JESUS CHRIST are now in heaven because hell was just a place you stay for a while just like it says in the good book.. do you even understand how hypocritical you sound right now?
@Bojoe777NaBl Hell (the lake of fire) is the permanent and final place of judgment for the lost. It was not created for humans, but for satan and the demons. God does not want anyone to go there. It is a future place. Hell will come after the Great White Throne Judgement. (Revelation 20:11-15) Jesus went instead to the “place of departed souls/spirits” It is called Sheol(Hebrew name )or Hades (Greek name) and it's a place with two divisions (Matthew 11:23, 16:18; Luke 10:15, 16:23; Acts 2:27-31)
@Bojoe777NaBl Jesus went to Hades and proclaimed God's salvation to earlier generations who ended up in the prison of judgment because they wouldn't listen. (I Peter 3:19) Those who became believers ascended to heaven with Jesus (Ephesians 4:8-10). Those who did not believe are still there. All unbelieving dead go there awaiting their final judgment in the future. The Rich Man and Lazarus story in Luke 16 describes what Hades was like before Jesus arrived. Now Christians go instantly to heaven
@thankfultoGod billions? what the hell are you talking about 3 billion people live in china and the rest are made up of mostly athiests and people with no belief at all.. why were so many verses that were taken out of the NIV also taken out of the Jehovah Witnesses Bible too? Is it because people may start to think those verses made it sound like there is another way to salvation other than believing in Jesus Christ
@ORAKAR Isaiah 52:14 (New International Reader's Version) 14 Many people were shocked when they saw Him. He was so scarred that he did not look like a man at all. His body was so twisted that he did not look like a human being anymore.
Jesus is the God-man. He is all-knowing and all-powerful. He has given His followers authority over the devil.
You do not know the truth because the powers of darkness are blocking you from knowing it. The god of this world has blinded you.
@thankfultoGod what about me baby - grew up as a christian and started asking questions like why the hell would god put an evil talking snake (satan) a blonde (eve) and a tree of knowledge (mmm grapefruit?) in the garden of eden for all eternity.. or how about this.. how did Satan change the minds of 1/3 of the angels who were suppose to stay in heaven for all eternity but were supposedly given authority over satan.. and then how can you lose your salvation - so much txt so lil sense
@Bojoe777NaBl God put the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden to give Adam and Eve a choice to obey Him or disobey Him. Adam and Eve were free to do anything they wanted, except eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 2:16-17, “And the LORD God commanded the man, ‘You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.’”
@Bojoe777NaBl If God had not given Adam and Eve the choice, they would have essentially been robots, simply doing what they were programmed to do. God created Adam and Eve to be “free” beings, able to make decisions, able to choose between good and evil. In order for Adam and Eve to truly be free, they had to have a choice. It is unlikely that eating the fruit truly gave Adam and Eve any further knowledge. It was the act of disobedience that opened Adam and Eve’s eyes to evil.
@Bojoe777NaBl Their sin of disobeying God brought sin and evil into the world and into their lives. Eating the fruit, as an act of disobedience against God, was what gave Adam and Eve knowledge of evil (Genesis 3:6-7).
God did not want Adam and Eve to sin. God knew ahead of time what the results of sin would be. God knew that Adam and Eve would sin and would thereby bring evil, suffering, and death into the world. Why, then, did God allow Satan to tempt Adam and Eve? To force them to choose.
@Bojoe777NaBl Adam and Eve chose, of their own free will, to disobey God and eat the forbidden fruit. The results—evil, sin, suffering, sickness, and death—have plagued the world ever since. Adam and Eve's decision results in every person being born with a sin nature, a tendency to sin. Adam and Eve's decision is what ultimately required Jesus Christ to die on the cross and shed His blood on our behalf. Through faith in Christ, we can be free from sin's consequences, and free from sin itself.
@thankfultoGod Why would God blind me? I have studied religion and philosophy for years. I have always been open minded, and open to the belief in God. I want God to exist. What else can I freaking do? I don't believe it because it doesn't convince me. If God CHOOSES me to not be able to believe, then he's not worth my time in the first place; he's obviously some sort of tyrant.
@ORAKAR But the basic reality of God is plain enough. Open your eyes and there it is! By taking a long and thoughtful look at what God has created, people have always been able to see what their eyes as such can't see: eternal power, for instance, and the mystery of his divine being. So nobody has a good excuse. What happened was this: People knew God perfectly well, but when they didn't treat him like God, refusing to worship him, they trivialized themselves into silliness and confusion ...
@ORAKAR God did not blind you. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy. He will steal the truth from you, blind you, make you sick and destroy you if you let him. We are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood but against persons without bodies, the evil rulers of the unseen world...so use every piece of God's armor to resist the enemy. That armor includes the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. God chose you to BELIEVE.
5-6" By an act of faith, Enoch skipped death completely. "They looked all over and couldn't find him because God had taken him." We know on the basis of reliable testimony that before he was taken "he pleased God." It's impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that He exists and that He cares enough to respond to those who seek Him."
God rewards those who EARNESTLY seek Him. Your choice.

@DoubIeKiIl It had meaning in the context of the posts. It has meaning when Christians make stupid claims that without a God there can be no morality. Get the fuck off the internet and quit trolling for a fight about religion. You cannot win against the overwhelming proof that YOUR GOD DOES NOT EXIST.
The Bible does not teach us to hate anyone. It's all about LOVE. There are no atheistic societies. Everybody worships something or someone. There are a few atheistic individuals, but they are very rare. Since earliest times people have seen the earth and sky and all God made and have known of His existence. So they are without excuse when they stand before Him on judgement day. The Bible does have a claim on morality. The 10 Commandments show that we all sin and we all need a Savior.
@thankfultoGod You are wrong. The Bible teaches a twisted ancient morality that will never be accepted by modern society. Sins are punishable by death right? Well, working on the sabbath is a sin but not if you kill and make a blood sacrifice afterward. To me, the idea of blood sacrifice is sickening. The Jesus story is simply an ancient blood sacrifice analogy to scapegoat us all out of killing goats everyday. Bible morality is sickening. Thank God that God is NOT REAL.
Obviously since you are not a catholic you don't know! we don't use the books from the apocrypha we use books from the duetrocononical books. Obviously we have those books in our bible since we read them every sunday at mass. Don't act like you know everything about us because it is clear you have never been to a mass and don't read out of our bibles every day!
The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully. Richard Dawkins
richard dawkins is an idiot who, if he applied the logic and technique he uses on the bible to other historical documents, would be denounced as uneducated and a terrible scholar. The man takes two sentences and uses them to support an argument when it's obvious that the surrounding paragraphs give a different context. He's a fool.
And you beleive in a Magical Man in the Sky who is going to solve all your problems and whisk you off to a sea of cloud and forgiveness where the roses flurish and the sun shines from his backside
People in glass houses
Richard Dawkins may have his critics, but he is not delusional like you christians.
those are some of The Books Called Apocyrpha. The rest are I & II Esdras, The Rest of Esther, Ecclesiasticus, The Song of the Three Children, The Story of Susanna, The Idol Bel and the Dragon, and The Prayer of Manasses.
You are dumb, if you were a true Catholic you wold realize that those books aren't considered part of the Old Testament...even to Catholics. They are part of the Apocrypha, not the Old Testament. Wow...learn what you are saying before you make an idiot out of yourself...
wtf please tell me you go to priest school and not that you have to study that in your country?
if they would try it here i would wipe my ass with the test and hand it in to give a big revolt kinda sign to learning this absolutely useless information (unless you're studying for priesthood)
Always remember this. If you EVER feel depressed you can always read Genesis 19:30-35 and 2 Samuel 16:20-22 with your dick in your hand and get your nut off! Praise Jesus!
Follow the blackest part of your soul. The dark messiah is who we search for. Cold rays of moonlight describing his rank. Satan's blood, it infects your soul. Satan's blood, it is dark as coal. Covered with blood of faith and dead prayers. We walk deeper into demon's territory. Holiness destroyed as the gates torn free. He is the master of dark arts. Hypnotic eyes to break your mind. Mystic circle will close this oath. Burn the light as a symbol to fight. Satan and I are as one.

Jesus never sinned, never told a lie, never answered back when insulted. When he suffered, he did not threaten to get even. He left his case in the hands of God who always judges fairly.
I will follow Jesus Christ - no matter what happens to me - forever. He is the BEST.

@thankfultoGod actualy jesus sinned when he chose to die on the cross
aimekailyndelattre 1 year ago
@aimekailyndelattre He chose to die on the cross because He loves us. His death paid for our sins and our healings. Our finite minds cannot comprehend such a magnificent sacrifice. "May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love and may you be able to feel and understand as all God's children should - how long, how wide, how deep and how high His love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully." Ephesians 3:17-19
thankfultoGod 1 year ago
@thankfultoGod A magnificent sacrifice? Jesus died on a cross. Many other humans have suffered FAR worse brutalities, tortures and emotional pain. What does he know of human suffering?
ORAKAR 1 year ago

Bojoe777NaBl 1 year ago
@Bojoe777NaBl by a bunch of people who we really dont have any idea about - So there have been chapters of the bible that have never been included in the actual bible? what? I thought that was gods word and that if we tamper with it we deserve eternal damnation - but if we do somehow hear about jesus christ and come to a point in our lives where we accept jesus we are all saved because our salvation is written in a book.. oh but if you commit suicide you lose it.. because.. yeaaah
Bojoe777NaBl 1 year ago
@Bojoe777NaBl Through both archaeological evidences and other writings, the historical accounts of the Bible have been proven time and time again to be accurate and true. In fact, all the archaeological and manuscript evidence supporting the Bible makes it the best-documented book from the ancient world. There are also hundreds of specific and detailed prophecies that have come true. There are also millions of people who have experienced totally changed lives as a result of believing God's Word.
thankfultoGod 1 year ago
@thankfultoGod Oh, I feel terribly sorry for Him, I really do. It would have been horrible. But nothing in comparison to the sufferings of people during the Holocaust, or other major genocides. To see one's family slowly dying from starvation, to ingest fecal matter and be forced kill others to survive, to be brutally beaten daily. Jesus knew nothing of those pains.
Believe me, I am above all concerned with the truth. I've studied theology for years in an attempt to find it, but never have!
ORAKAR 1 year ago
@ORAKAR Jesus received the sin and sickness of the entire world - past, present and future - into His body.
Then He descended into hell and set the prisoners free from there. He rose from the dead in His glorified body and appeared to hundreds of witnesses. This proved that He was victorious over satan and He accomplished what He came to the earth to accomplish. He fulfilled all the prophecies about Himself with perfect accuracy.
He is either God or a liar or a lunatic. Billions say He is God.
thankfultoGod 1 year ago
@thankfultoGod oh its good to know people who don't believe in jesus christ before JESUS CHRIST are now in heaven because hell was just a place you stay for a while just like it says in the good book.. do you even understand how hypocritical you sound right now?
Bojoe777NaBl 1 year ago
@Bojoe777NaBl Hell (the lake of fire) is the permanent and final place of judgment for the lost. It was not created for humans, but for satan and the demons. God does not want anyone to go there. It is a future place. Hell will come after the Great White Throne Judgement. (Revelation 20:11-15) Jesus went instead to the “place of departed souls/spirits” It is called Sheol(Hebrew name )or Hades (Greek name) and it's a place with two divisions (Matthew 11:23, 16:18; Luke 10:15, 16:23; Acts 2:27-31)
thankfultoGod 1 year ago

Bojoe777NaBl 1 year ago
@ORAKAR Isaiah 52:14 (New International Reader's Version) 14 Many people were shocked when they saw Him. He was so scarred that he did not look like a man at all. His body was so twisted that he did not look like a human being anymore.
Jesus is the God-man. He is all-knowing and all-powerful. He has given His followers authority over the devil.
You do not know the truth because the powers of darkness are blocking you from knowing it. The god of this world has blinded you.
thankfultoGod 1 year ago
@thankfultoGod what about me baby - grew up as a christian and started asking questions like why the hell would god put an evil talking snake (satan) a blonde (eve) and a tree of knowledge (mmm grapefruit?) in the garden of eden for all eternity.. or how about this.. how did Satan change the minds of 1/3 of the angels who were suppose to stay in heaven for all eternity but were supposedly given authority over satan.. and then how can you lose your salvation - so much txt so lil sense
Bojoe777NaBl 1 year ago
@Bojoe777NaBl God put the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden to give Adam and Eve a choice to obey Him or disobey Him. Adam and Eve were free to do anything they wanted, except eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 2:16-17, “And the LORD God commanded the man, ‘You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.’”
thankfultoGod 1 year ago
@Bojoe777NaBl If God had not given Adam and Eve the choice, they would have essentially been robots, simply doing what they were programmed to do. God created Adam and Eve to be “free” beings, able to make decisions, able to choose between good and evil. In order for Adam and Eve to truly be free, they had to have a choice. It is unlikely that eating the fruit truly gave Adam and Eve any further knowledge. It was the act of disobedience that opened Adam and Eve’s eyes to evil.
thankfultoGod 1 year ago
@Bojoe777NaBl Their sin of disobeying God brought sin and evil into the world and into their lives. Eating the fruit, as an act of disobedience against God, was what gave Adam and Eve knowledge of evil (Genesis 3:6-7).
God did not want Adam and Eve to sin. God knew ahead of time what the results of sin would be. God knew that Adam and Eve would sin and would thereby bring evil, suffering, and death into the world. Why, then, did God allow Satan to tempt Adam and Eve? To force them to choose.
thankfultoGod 1 year ago
@Bojoe777NaBl Adam and Eve chose, of their own free will, to disobey God and eat the forbidden fruit. The results—evil, sin, suffering, sickness, and death—have plagued the world ever since. Adam and Eve's decision results in every person being born with a sin nature, a tendency to sin. Adam and Eve's decision is what ultimately required Jesus Christ to die on the cross and shed His blood on our behalf. Through faith in Christ, we can be free from sin's consequences, and free from sin itself.
thankfultoGod 1 year ago
@thankfultoGod Why would God blind me? I have studied religion and philosophy for years. I have always been open minded, and open to the belief in God. I want God to exist. What else can I freaking do? I don't believe it because it doesn't convince me. If God CHOOSES me to not be able to believe, then he's not worth my time in the first place; he's obviously some sort of tyrant.
ORAKAR 1 year ago
@ORAKAR But the basic reality of God is plain enough. Open your eyes and there it is! By taking a long and thoughtful look at what God has created, people have always been able to see what their eyes as such can't see: eternal power, for instance, and the mystery of his divine being. So nobody has a good excuse. What happened was this: People knew God perfectly well, but when they didn't treat him like God, refusing to worship him, they trivialized themselves into silliness and confusion ...
thankfultoGod 1 year ago
@ORAKAR God did not blind you. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy. He will steal the truth from you, blind you, make you sick and destroy you if you let him. We are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood but against persons without bodies, the evil rulers of the unseen world...so use every piece of God's armor to resist the enemy. That armor includes the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. God chose you to BELIEVE.

@ORAKAR Hebrews 11:6 (The Message)

The 10 Commandments show that we all sin and we all need a Savior.
thankfultoGod 1 year ago

Richard Dawkins
icecool1065 2 years ago
richard dawkins is an idiot who, if he applied the logic and technique he uses on the bible to other historical documents, would be denounced as uneducated and a terrible scholar. The man takes two sentences and uses them to support an argument when it's obvious that the surrounding paragraphs give a different context. He's a fool.
