it sucks when you find a video that looks helpful to something you are trying to do but the whole time the guy is explaining it hes making that stupid fuckin lip smacking sound every time he pauses.
wow, i have been playing guitar for 7 years, until this moment, i did not know u had to cut off the ball at the end of the string for a floyd rose trem -_-
@polishskaterdude32 well when you usally get a guitar with a floyd rose they put on 9's for the low tension look up the model of your guitar or look at a manual and it should tell you what you should use for it. I know you can get different gauges but you'd be better off getting someone to do it for you because you'd have to mess with the tension nal that kinda shit. Hope that helps ya :)

I just bought a guitar with a floyd rose locking system and it does not keep in tune, I know it may be the strings but it gets out of tune a lot. Can anyone tell me why does it happens?
@metalupyourass19196 I'm having the same problem. Mine is because it doesn't come all the way down when you release the bar (non-floating). I'm going to try some light strings because I think the strings are a little too heavy which would create too much pull on the springs. I'm trying to ease the tension on the springs to make it easier to depress the bar.
@kolpower youll need to either take the tune locking off, change the string gauge, or if youve done that theres little like knobby things on the bottom of the guitar and you can twivel them round and it will change the tuning :)
i toke all the strings off at once by accedent and the floyd rose wont go back up cause i dont have the wammy bar yet and my last g string broke idk y but ya o and its a b.c. rich warlock i just bought and im like dying to play it
i have a question.. i used 6012 string and i tuned it in drop c.. the bridge somehow keep going up follow the string when i tuned it.. spring at the back i have screwed it to the max but the bridge wont go down... is it the spring is loose or string 6012 doesnt fit in drop c? bcuz my friend suggest to me change it to 6012 strings...
@kecikenot Floyd Roses are a horrible mix with 60-12 strings, And they're should be springs in the back of the body that you can take out to help get some of the tension that the heavy gauged strings are causing, otherwise you should switch to 9's
Goddamn some of you people on here! Bitch and moan, bitch and moan, bitch and moan... Why don't you thank him for taking the time to make these videos instead of complaining about a bunch of bullshit?
I'm sooo pissed. I just got a guitar with floyd rose that I've been dieing to get for 2 years. as soon as I get home. I do one squeel. string snaps. whole thing outa tune and can't even tune it. And now I have to wait a few days to bring it back to fix it. cuz I'm not going to try to and fuck it up.
guys please help me out? i have the Ibanez RG370DX with a EDGE III bridge, it sucks big time, it only have the bend the string upa nd it will go out of tune a bit, i want to change the EDGE III Ibanez bridge to a Black Original Floyd Rose bridge, it is possible? please reply :(
I have the same guitar :)... But i dont own a whamy bar and my bottom part is different... I have the small tuning pegs and dont have those screws at the bottom... Still its an awesome guitar
i guess i have the only guitar with a floyd rose in the world that doesnt work right, no matter how many diffrent ways i change the strings or tune it, about 10 diffrent ways from 15 diffrent people no-one string will ever be in tune, and its a shame i spent 2400 on this beautiful carvin and it wont tune
@majmop did you set it up when you first got it, if you don,t take a bit of time to get it right it will not just fall out of tune but never seem to be in tune
I know a floyd rose seams like a pain to tune but can you change tunings fast and easy, like from standard to drop c and then to Eb standard and to drop B. i like changing tunings alot and frequently
What the hell do you say 9's for when you are changing the low E and the high E is the 9 gauge. You are not telling the right info for the low E, like 48, 50, 52? Your OCD and lack of speaking ability is a bit much, but you get er done. One video should have been enough Mr. OCD.
holy shit stop saying uhhhhhhh. just get to the point! "so first were going to show you hot to lock the uhhhhhhhhhhhhh..........................(long awkard pause) nut."
wouldn't be better if you check the intonation while you change each string?the string is soft(low tension) so you can adjust the litle "screws"(i don't how they are called in english) at the front of the floyd rose,with the alen?
Most help full video for you guys out that have a guitar with a floyd on it, there's other ones where they make you do it the pain in the ass way.Good video guys.
@riffman911 Yeah, but that fretboard isn't even real wood, and if it is... it's thickly coated with a lacquer. What's the point in oiling a lacquered wood? What's the point of oiling fake wood? I oil my guitars (Hufschmid) because they aren't coated.
@Protcall Nothing. It's a common misconception that the neck will go out of whack when you take all the strings off. That's what the truss rod is for, to keep the neck from warping. :p

Hi, my friend managed to pull off all the strings at the same time, how do i make the bridge stay up again? i tried to put on some new strings and tune them but the bridge "down force" if you can call it that, is way to strong. Help!!!
@moonbeam1994 very easy to fix. take a flat metal object, like a spoon or something, and put it on both sides above the recessed cavity, and rest the fine-tuners of the trem on it (push the bar down and shove the object in place and let it drop on it.) then, tune the strings up. then remove the metal object.

I am having problems with mine. For some odd reason when I tune my guitar to drop c the last two strings are popping off the floyd rose and I have evened out the tension too. I even did your little trick to string your guitar too and it still keeps popping off. I am using 10's and my 11's never gave me these kind of problems? D'addario strings are the brand also.
@TheChocorooms i watcehed this video every time i change strings and i can n o lon ger watch it because of this hilarious comment bring that to my actual attention XD
So glad i watched this, im considering getting a guitar with a floyd rose :). Then i saw that this was only part 1 of 4 and realized the ball ache im getting myself into.
@bradentheguitarist It was a joke bro. I actually do play 13-60, and I would recommend it. If you've been playing for 4 years you would know 20-92 is a joke. That's like putting bass strings on your guitar, which some people do but still...
I was wondering about tuning from standard tuning to drop d. I'm purchasing a Hellraiser c-1 next month and i can see that it locks in the tuning to one tuning (Standard, for example). I'm in a band and i have songs in drop d and standard. Will i be able to tune into drop d from standard? Thanks.
@jnl13961 Well to get in D tunning it's enough to play with the sensible tunners that stay on the bridge to send the E into D...for C tunning imho u'll have to refuck everything XD
you have to stick with one tuning. yes, of course you can have it in dropped d, but you cant change it very quickly. you have to unlock that string, tune it up to E or down to D (depending on how you were tuned) and then relock, and fine tune. those fine tuners wont take you a whole step from E to D.
@entwurfdreizehn hey, urm .. i think my guitar has a floyd rose tremolo but i'm quiet confuse here because there are no "screw on the neck" of my guitar .. is it a floyd rose tremolo .. ? can u give me some advice on it .. ? and another one is on my "i think" floyd rose guitar, and the end of the bridge, there are no such screw attach to it .. the one that suppose to be adjusted the tune of the guitar .. well , seriously i don't know how to explain it, but i do need an advice .. thanks mate ..!!

I' ve got the exact same guitar (not so ragged :D)... And I have just broke one of the small parts that presses the string... JEEEAHH

@bradentheguitarist 10 - 52 Dude, Thicker, Tougher, Not as much fret buzz. Just my opinion though
entwurfdreizehn 1 year ago
@bradentheguitarist 13-70, real men play 20-92 sets but 13-70 would be a good start for you. Gets you a meatier tone.
Beenyad 10 months ago
@Beenyad
A good start? hah
dude ive been playing for like 4 years
i was just looking for opinions
i play on 10-52 have been for 2 years
bradentheguitarist 10 months ago
@bradentheguitarist It was a joke bro. I actually do play 13-60, and I would recommend it. If you've been playing for 4 years you would know 20-92 is a joke. That's like putting bass strings on your guitar, which some people do but still...

@Beenyad

Thanks.
jnl13961 1 year ago
@jnl13961 Well to get in D tunning it's enough to play with the sensible tunners that stay on the bridge to send the E into D...for C tunning imho u'll have to refuck everything XD
AFANARCHIST 1 year ago
@jnl13961
you have to stick with one tuning. yes, of course you can have it in dropped d, but you cant change it very quickly. you have to unlock that string, tune it up to E or down to D (depending on how you were tuned) and then relock, and fine tune. those fine tuners wont take you a whole step from E to D.
PoofPoofification 1 year ago
@PoofPoofification Mine do
entwurfdreizehn 1 year ago
@jnl13961 Very easily, when you change, loosen the screw on the neck, use the machineheads to go to d or e, tighten the screw and use the fine tuners
entwurfdreizehn 1 year ago
@entwurfdreizehn hey, urm .. i think my guitar has a floyd rose tremolo but i'm quiet confuse here because there are no "screw on the neck" of my guitar .. is it a floyd rose tremolo .. ? can u give me some advice on it .. ? and another one is on my "i think" floyd rose guitar, and the end of the bridge, there are no such screw attach to it .. the one that suppose to be adjusted the tune of the guitar .. well , seriously i don't know how to explain it, but i do need an advice .. thanks mate ..!!
punai33 1 year ago
@punai33 Dude. Your guitar has a vintage tremelo. It ain't a Floyd Rose setup. :|
chikuroxsexy 1 year ago
@punai33 Check the bridge on it if it's a floyd rose it should have floyd rose written on the part that sinks into the body
