Hey could Mod Podge count as an alternative to Liquid Latex? Just wondering, cuz just rewatched your video like now, I have a mold now, so basically all of this stuff is now last second stuff, but i was just wondering should i go ahead and do it or hold off and get latex?

1. how long should you let the coats of latex and cheese cloth dry for? 2. Even though you ain't a makeup effex person, if you leave in air holes around the nose can you do the molding process to a person?

I let them dry for a few hours before putting on a new coat. You can't use it to mold a face, because it adheres waaaaay to well to the skin! You want to try alginate for that. :)

Hi.. I made a latex mold using your process. I cut the back of the mold to peel it off my model and I want to know.. When I cast how do I keep it sealed long enough for the material to harden?

I'm using wax.. I'm making candle for my friends for Christmas.

I would let the material completely harden before removing the mold.

But how do I keep the material in the mold long enough to harden if the back is cut open? It leaks out before it hardens. I had to use duct tape to seal it and the casts came out a little deformed.

I was thinking of using more latex to create a mask that moved with your face. Do you think it would work out?

Well, what you would end up with would be a negative mold. It would be reverse of the skull you used and the latex for this has to be thick so it wouldn't move with you face.

HERES A TIP!if you cant get liquid latex then thin down caulk silicone with naphta(lighter fluid) build a thew layers and it will be very good result!
