@nitronelly007 Do they usually set themselfs on fire? Why, must be a factory defect problem os misuse for sure. Do you know the bike well im kinda interested on getting one for myself, now im wondering wich supermoto bike should i get, theres no perfect maker or model, someone allways has something bad to say about it. Do these highperformance bikes require constant or often professional maintenance? How about low knowledge maintenance (how many hours to change oil for example)?

My buddy has a 2008 SXV 550 and it's definately quicker than my 2009 Hypermotard 1100. The top end is a different story but the power to weight ratio favors the Ape. But in my mind the Ape is a race bike and the Ducati is a hooligan bike ... and as such they should be treated.

You know something of Aprilia SXV ??? have ever read AF1 Aprilia Forum ??

One of the worst thing that you can do to your SXV Engine is to ride it without warm it previously for minutes - This is very basic....

Other interesting point will be the correct measure of oil in the Oil tank indicator (have to ride it with just always at minimum , if not oil will flow your airbox....

Sad to say this Bike is not for everyone.....

Probably because this isn't designed purposely for a motocross or supercross track, like the honda.

Try looking at the RXV 450 or 550 i'm pretty sure there meant for trails or supercross/motocross.
