  • touche, but careful trying to anthropomorphize nature. masculine and feminine are merely how we view the world from our perspective as a species but galaxies are no more feminine than black holes let alone rocks and lichens. thanks for sharing info about tis'a'ack, i have not read that and its good to get this info out into the world.

  • Job well done. I'm trying to do something similar here with the restoration of mangroves in Jupiter, florida

  • we love you ron!!!

  • Im gunna take a fat shit next time i go by fern springs in a couple of days.... its right before bridavel falls ... i know where it is...

just kidding thanks ron! for your help!! .. they need to do the same things to the awahnee indian caves!

  • thanks for helping build a legacy for the future

  • Pure Class. This spring is sacred, like everything in the valley. Can you see the face of the wise old native american chief in the face of half dome? Makes you pause with awe at the whole spectacle and experience.....

  • @NarisTorquere No I can't. Sorry but not everything is masculine. The face on Half Dome is Tis'a'ack and it was a female entity according the the Ahwahneechee.

Ever seriously contemplate the feminine aspects of Yosemite Falls, bet your girlfriend/wife wishes you did. Or how about the gently undulating formation of Cloud's Rest, nothing masculine about it.

OK, you can have Lost Arrow but get it straight, Yosemite Valley is feminine, she is the "gaping mouth" who welcomes and nurtures.

  • OH I LOVE RON!!! I used to live in Yosemite for many years and Ron was one of the first people I met. He used to come to Curry Village and hang out. They called him Mr "El Cap" when I was there. Do you know that he did the stunt double for Tom Cruise in the Mission Impossible 2 trailer? Yup he did, but they never used Ron for a stunt double in the actual movie. Fern Spring is what Ron used to drink out of coming off of climbs on El Capitan.

  • ron makes me feel all warm and fuzzy...

  • Good Job ;)

  • Thanks for doing this. I like Fern Spring, but have always though it's just too close to the road. Like the pagment goes right to it!
