I just came back from the phillipines on korean air, Connected flight from ''the republicn of korea'' on the 747-400. This was the longest flight iv been on, 12 hours to the UK, but one of the best! they fed us like pigs though, lol, four meals in total. great leg room, fantastic service, good entertainment, and very clean. next time I go to the phils I will choose Korean air..
plus, Korean Air is the only airline in the world that uses the engine-"refurbishment" technology, in which they dismantle old engines and rebuild them as new ones, saving them from the extra billions of dollars of cost.

Most professional flight attendants in the air. They all seem to have been fashion models in their pre-KAL life. Great in-flight entertainment system. Too bad the food is horrid, and they only award frequent flyer miles in 1st and business class. I don't care how good your service is, they aren't worth the price.
Sometimes I really wonder if the pepsi logo was inspired by that symbol, the "taegeuk" I honestly thought it was Pepsi air the first time I saw a Korean Air plane. Then again that was when I was about 7 and at SFO.

Nobody wants to crash an airplane and kill people unless their are terrorists, that's what they are called ACCIDENTS, because nobody did it on purpose, unless KE 007, and if are not are aware, if you compare KAL accidents rate with those of other airlines such as American, United, JAL, and China Airlines you will what I'm talking about, China Airlines has the highest accident rate of all Asian Airlines.
Some of KE's accidents had nothing to be with safety, but they do have to be with mistakes...
The only thing with Korean Air with me is that their fatality rate is extremely high. Yea, one can argue that all airlines have their share of accidents, but the fatalities resulted from Korean Air in body counts so to speak have been far more greater than nearly most airlines. I'm sure the service is top of the notch, but safety in my perspective isn't all that great.
The only thing that I can say is tha Korean Air is an excellent airline, I've flown it from Sao Paulo to Seoul via Los Angeles and I've been treated very good, this comercial reflects all the aspects that Korean cares to give their passengers a great service...Actually I flew on Business Class and I think that people that criticize korean air do it because their are ignorant and they had tremendous lack of culture...you should compare Incheon Airport with JFK and you'll see the GREAT difference

When I was stationed in Korea, I wanted to fly Korean because of the friendly service and the meals are probably the best out there. I was hesitant to flying Korean Air, but glad I did. It is a lot better than some of the american airlines in service. (On an American Air flight I politely asked the attendant for help, & she agressively told me to sit).The uniforms are up to date, flight crew looks good, and the crew even helped translate the customs card into Seoul for me.Excellent airline!!
Korean Air and Asiana (especially Asiana) are winning prizes from airline groups for top service.
Also korean stewardesses are in high demand from non-korean airlines. Emirates is one example, and incidentally it's also known as one of the top airlines in the world.

And yes, a contract sim instructor testing KAL 737 pilots failed just over 40% of those tested, and of those people NONE could control the aircraft during an engine failure on take-off. THE FACT that they are still CAPTAINS for KAL is absurd!!! And look at their pilot culture - it is primitive. They've obviously seen it as a problem and have acknowledged they are going to rectify it, but the fact they have been operating under these conditions for so long is just ludicrous.

I have flown on Korean Air Long Haul flights alot of times and I think that Korean Air is one of the best airlines in the world..Better than any other airlines I've been with..Go Korean Air!

When I was stationed in Korea, I wanted to fly Korean because of the friendly service and the meals are probably the best out there. I was hesitant to flying Korean Air, but glad I did. It is a lot better than some of the american airlines in service. (On an American Air flight I politely asked the attendant for help, & she agressively told me to sit).The uniforms are up to date, flight crew looks good, and the crew even helped translate the customs card into Seoul for me.Excellent airline!!

Korean Air and Asiana have the shittiest service of the airlines I have ever flown.
- Even if the "Handle with care" tags were in Korean, their employees would still ignore them.
- First world airlines offer special meals; third rate and third world KA and Asiana offer one meal, with a "take it or leave it" attitude.
- The tarts on the planes ignore you when you need something but won't fuck off when you want to sleep.
Don't fly on any Korean-owned airline. You'll thank me for it.

Korean Air and Asiana (especially Asiana) are winning prizes from airline groups for top service.
Also korean stewardesses are in high demand from non-korean airlines. Emirates is one example, and incidentally it's also known as one of the top airlines in the world.
But you know better than all the professionals don't you?

korean air & asiana are both xlnt airlines the food is xlnt ,drinks are free, the crews are friendly,great service,well organized crewmembers,i flew over 40 times on both carriers,spend the xtra money.its worth it.UNLIKE THE CHUNKY MEAT BEAST ON NORTWEST FLIGHTS.YOU WILL BE TREATED LIKE BAGGAGE!!!ITS NOT WORTH IT,TAKE KOREAN AIR ,ASIANA AIRLINES~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thanks for your response. However, I was not trying to guess what they say at the end, since I understand the message. What I wrote is "Daehan hangong, kamsahamnida" and you probably know that means "Thank you, Korean Air", because I consider KAL to be one of the best airlines. I have never had a bad flight with them.

And yes, a contract sim instructor testing KAL 737 pilots failed just over 40% of those tested, and of those people NONE could control the aircraft during an engine failure on take-off. THE FACT that they are still CAPTAINS for KAL is absurd!!! And look at their pilot culture - it is primitive. They've obviously seen it as a problem and have acknowledged they are going to rectify it, but the fact they have been operating under these conditions for so long is just ludicrous.

Most airline surveys either touch only superficially or are devoid completely of any safety tests so your point makes no sense. Secondly, do you work for KAL? Seriously, KAL has HORRENDOUS safety standards, like 737 captains who are proven can't control engine failure on take-off yet still work for the company!!!!!! AND as for you last point, I'm not even going to discuss what is wrong with that, it is just 100% ASININE. Furthermore, I'm a Norwegian living in Australia and happen to be the son of a Cathay Pacific pilot (an airline that is exactly 1 million times better than KAL). So STFU and GTFO.

Well, I have to say that Korean Air IS being criticized in a harsh way, but it would make things much easier if people didn't swear in comments. It just starts flame wars between people over the world.
