I agree that Ron Paul would win if he went third party. But he should hold off until it is necessary. He would take voters from both sides of the isle; and probably enough to win. He would not just be a vote drain for the republicans.

@Njderig, you have to be patient with people, we were all brainwashed before. Even more, if not for bad economy few of us care about endless wars, torture, bail outs. People do not understand free-market capitalism. WHY? a) They were given horror stories about early capitalism by tenured professors; b) USA universities do not study Austrian school of economics (because in essence it is anti-government science.)

isn't he saying that he'd only go independent AFTER (and only IF) he loses the republican primary? i think that would be an unstoppable plan. you know that if he doesn't win the rep. primary, america will hate whoever does...he could stay in the presidential race then. at least that would give him another chance to go at it!

If everyone who supports Dr Paul sucks it up& registers Repub so they can vote in the primary, then he has a shot at winning the nomination.People can always switch back to Dem or unaffiliated after he gets the nomination. It's only a letter after a name; both parties are crooked as hell-just vote candidate not party - vote Ron Paul.Many states wont allow indep. to vote in primary so register Repub
