Both are good cars Trucks are only meant for picking up items like in the back. They are meant to pull out RV's etc... Of course there not going to beat an rx8 cause it has a heck load of upgrades its a nice care though but the toyota was stock itself it didnt have no upgrades at all. but thing is the toyota tacoma kept up .
Its funny how much of a HUGE difference there is between an Auto RX8 and a Manual RX8, once i saw you take off i automatically knew you had an auto (because i have an 04 manual, it goes like a rocket)

If i launched it the take off would of been alot faster and more apperent but i was at a light and had my foot on the break till it was green.

08 Mazda RX-8 galaxy grey auto w/ tiptronic gearbox. Just pure fun all around. I think it could use a little more torque. Haha How did that go for you?
even my friends car(05 chevy cobalt) is faster than mine at low end torque-- but the donut was very fun althought I had some kind of warning light up this morning..
yeah pretty much the only way to get more torque is supercharged or turbocharged.. but you could get like 20 whp with CAI and exhaust.. the European and Japanese models have more power at base.. the US models are restricted alot due to emissions-- well you can brake torque launch and have a better jump at about 3k rpm. What was the warning light?

lol i didnt get the jump we went off at the same time when the light turned green if i would of done a brake torqe launch i would of had a bigger jump and smoked his ass but i didnt to keep it even... i had the peddle down half way until the end and if you notice my friend filming says hold it back for him to catch up... his tacoma was auto.

yeah torque is a big problem with rotaries :(
